I recommend Lake Orédon (recommended by the person at the reception, a magnificent place, the shuttle to get to Lake Aubert very affordable: 5 euros/person under 10 years old to go up and down). Take the chairlift at the foot of the resort to climb to the top and go to Lac Boum where you can swim and have a picnic.
> Marie :
Restaurant "Restancot" very well and the hiking activities with Patrick were rewarding.

For those who like walking and dogs: come and see the Nordic base just below the resort for a cani-hiking trip.

There is a restaurant in Luchon that doesn't look good, but is very good, and where you are welcomed with a smile: This is L'ARBESQUENS in the main street of Bannière de Luchon.
> Claude :
The friendly activity not to be missed in case of bad weather is the Balnea centre in Loudenvielle (15 minutes in the valley) with its various and varied swimming pools (Inca, Amerindian, Japanese, musical baths...) very pleasant afternoon in hot water (up to 40°) with snowy landscapes nearby. And finally, a relaxing treatment on the first floor of the establishment. Great! Great! Otherwise, a small glass of Estancot for an aperitif. Very nice moment.
> Aurelie :

ideal site for alpine skiers. A very pleasant snowshoe ride with friendly guides. Cross-country skiing almost non-existent.
> Yannick :
it is better to rent your skis in the shops at the foot of the slopes to avoid wearing them even if the shuttle service is efficient and really enjoyable.
> Bernadette :
a lot of snow, so it is not possible to go off-piste and snowshoeing. However, there is a lack of quality snow, restaurants on site in the evening. It is necessary to go to the BALNEA in the valley to make imperatively and the exit in groomer evening.
> Jean-yves :
you have to go to Saint Lary Soulan which is a very pretty and lively village, you have to make the high altitude lakes and especially Payolles (magnificent, it would have been like Canada), and if you are not afraid to drive a little bit: go to Spain to AINSA (superb) and also to LOURDES (you do not come out unscathed...)
> Patricia :
Peyragudes is relatively quiet in summer, you have to go down into the valley to find some entertainment, at Lake Loudenvielle for example where there is a leisure centre. We went to eat pancakes at 50c each, going down to Luchon at the Col de Peyresourde.
On the border of the Hautes-Pyrénées and the Haute-Garonne, surrounded by high peaks, Peyragudes is an ideal holiday resort for refuelling with oxygen. In summer as in winter, you will be able to recharge your batteries while practising numerous activities.
Born from the merger of two resorts, Peyragudes offers a huge ski area of 1500 hectares. Stretching over both sides of the same mountain, it has 51 slopes, 17 ski lifts, 9 chairlifts and 2 secure beginners' areas. On the menu : downhill skiing, ski touring, snowshoeing, dog sledding, but also new snow sports in the 2 snow parks. Not to be missed : the Vallée Blanche, a red piste that offers 5 kilometres of downhill and piste 007 which reminds you that one of the most famous skiers in the resort is none other than the famous James Bond in one of the scenes from the film "Tomorrow Never Dies".
In summer, Peyragudes rediscovers the greenery of its alpine pastures and invites you to new sensations. In a magnificent natural setting, you can climb the passes by bike, go downhill on a mountain bike, climb a bit higher or fill up on adrenaline in whitewater. To enjoy the mountain and its clean air more slowly, you can also take the many hiking trails that criss-cross the surroundings. In particular, join the Louron valley, on the western side of the resort to discover the pretty village of Loudenvielle, its lake with a nautical base and its thermal centre. But also admire the lake of Caillaouas, the Néouvielle reserve and the Lapadé forest.
Continue your discovery of the surroundings by going to Saint-Lary-Soulan and enjoy a guided walk to appreciate its architectural heritage. You can also visit the Bear House and the Pyrenees National Park House. On the Haute-Garonne side, make a trip to Bagnères-de-Luchon to admire the thermal baths and their park, the Château Lassus Nestier and the magnificent residences built between the middle of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries : Chalets Spont, Villa Édouard, Villa Santa Maria, Russian and Persian Chalets... Also take the time to taste local recipes such as veal axoa, brandade de trout d'Oô, fondue pyrénéenne, garbure, apple croustade...
