Come and discover the charms of Marseillan Plage, seaside resort of the Hérault, in Languedoc-Roussillon. Created after the Second World War, it depends on the municipality of Marseillan. Situated between Sète and Cap d'Agde, Marseillan Plage is very busy during the summer.
Unlike the commune, it directly affects the Mediterranean, allowing the development of water sports. There are indeed several schools of sliding and rental points for jet skis and boats. One of the bases of the most important sailing school in Europe, the Glénans, resides in Marseillan Plage.
The seaside resort is first renowned for its 6 km of sandy beaches and its turquoise and clear water. Numerous tourist installations are installed there and during the summer, the shore closest to the port is the most animated area of the town. The marina also has a special charm. The restaurants along the quays offer the possibility of enjoying the beauty of the place.
From mid-June to mid-September, an amusement park illuminates the nights of Marseillan Plage with 40 rides and fireworks that delight young and old alike. In addition to the daily market, night markets open during the summer.
During the day, you can discover many activities on Marseillan Plage and its surroundings. The pond of Thau offers a splendid landscape both from the land and by boat. It is possible to make strolls on the lagoon of Thau in the company of a guide in order to get to know the fauna and the flora that lives around the pond. You can also go horse riding and pony riding through the equestrian center of the Camargue Ranch. Close to Marseillan is also the Canal du Midi, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site, to discover also on a cruise.
If you prefer physical activities, the seaside resort does not lack places to have fun with family. A part of paintball, a kart ride, a tennis game... there are many ways to have a good time in Marseillan Plage !

Restaurant la casa d'oc in a pedestrian street, very friendly staff and very good food, tasty entrecôte, excellent fish parillada. La paillotte, ti-manger and cocktail very good.

"Le Neptune" is a large bar in the heart of Marseillan where the staff is professional and very friendly. The atmosphere during the day is very cocooning, which comes alive every evening with excellent singers who deliver very good covers of French variety songs.

"La Spaghéteria" offers a wide variety of pasta and sauces for lovers. The butcher's piece is also excellent. The "Woody" ice-cream bar with lively evenings not to be missed.

Beautiful area! Agde, Sète, Pèzenas... very nice. We made a detour to the Camargue Ornithological Park to see pink flamingos! Lively seaside resort... Very nice mini golf, original decorations ! Very clear water beach...

Our good plans: - aperitif at the "La Roussette" fish shop: 6 oysters and a glass of local white wine for 6.50€; crustacean belly in the same place. - for fish: "Chez Louise" fish shop every morning from May to September; fresh arrival and on-site preparation.

I love Marseillan Plage: the market every morning, nice shopkeepers. In Marseillan City, restaurant "La Ferme": an all-you-can-eat buffet of shellfish and fish à la plancha.

Station which seemed family but very noisy and few things around.... The beach is nice even if it doesn't seem to be well cleaned (bcp of cigarette butts) and bcp of jetski and boats so noisy....
