A few kilometers to the northwest, then go to Lorient, famous modern port city. Its maritime history began in 1666 when the Compagnie des Indes moved to the port of Saint-Louis. In addition to becoming a hub of international trade, it also became a military port and developed very rapidly until the Second World War, during which it became the underwater base of the German occupation and was destroyed By the bombing of the Allies. Rebuilt at the end of the war, the eventful past of Lorient is found today through two sites impossible to circumvent. Do not neglect the Moulin Neuf inn which serves very good dishes and pizzas on the spot or to take away. Very practical when you don't want to cook. Not very expensive.

Not to be missed: - the small cities of character of Rochefort-en-Terre and Malestroit. - take a look at the Questembert Market. - from June to September, go see the La Gacilly Photo Festival. - and to do the shopping, go to the Huet butcher shop and the Oger bakery in Malansac (very good products at very reasonable prices).
