In the Pyrénées-Orientales department of the Languedoc-Roussillon-Midi-Pyrénées region, the seaside resort of Saint Cyprien Plage has developed considerably since the 1950s. Today, it has a wide beach of 6 km divided into several zones, The majority of which is lively and equipped for disabled access. Center of the tourist activity, many activities for the small and the big ones are put in place during the summer.
The Espace Saint Cyp Beach Sports offers a wide range of beach sports on an area of 2000 m² with sports instructors. Tournaments, games and fitness classes are organized every summer for free and free access. Water sports are also extensively developed. Other entertainments are available directly on the beach, among which you can find flashmobs, secure climbing games (suitable for all ages) and introductions to the circus arts.
The dynamism of the municipality does not stop at the beach. Right next door, the esplanade of Place Maillol sees many activities during the summer. On the Place Marbre, located near the port, you can enjoy the cafes as well as artists who come to exhibit and caricature each year along the quays. The port of Saint Cyprien is famous for its charm. It is the second marina in France and the third largest marina in Europe. Every summer, you will find the fun fair near the Tourist Office, decorated with various rides and stands for young and old alike.
The municipality holds several tourist labels, notably the Famille Plus label. Indeed, several animations for children are organized in the town of Saint Cyprien during the summer period. At the Jardin des Plantes, games of tracks are set up for the little ones. You can also find games of skill and orientation at Parc de la Prade. In addition, children have the opportunity to awaken their senses at the Media Center where music workshops are organized by musicians throughout the summer.
Finally, Saint Cyprien hosts several markets with many local and artisanal products, among which are Catalan products. During the summer season, discovery markets and craft markets await you to discover typical products of the region.

There is everything near shops and restaurants! We can go there by foot, on the other hand the restaurants I advise to reserve!

To do: the Valley of the Turtles. As for Collioure: too many people, full car parks (too bad because it looks very nice...). The problem is all paying and quite expensive, and until 31/08, parking is paid on the beach (after no, but remain paid elsewhere ...). Not easy either: the traffic in this area even in September (so you can imagine in high season...).

The Garden of Plants in Saint Cyprien is to be done. At the end of August, there was the fair of the port of Saint Cyprien: this avoids going to Argelès sur Mer. For an ice cream: the "Au Rendez-Vous des Tentations" glacier along the beach is great.
