A true small island paradise, Mayotte la secrète is one of the pearls of the Indian Ocean. Nestled in the Mozambique Channel, between the island of Madagascar and the African continent, this tropical island is the ideal place to learn scuba diving. Who has never dreamed of seeing the famous Mayotte turtles with their own eyes? In Mayotte, you will find the perfect combo for a successful holiday: sun, sea and nature! What seduces you in Mayotte is its wild and preserved side. Meet the lemurs that inhabit the island, take a relaxing break on the beaches of Ngouja, Boueni, Sakouli or Sohoa, take a boat trip on the turquoise lagoon that borders the island in search of dolphins, rays and whales that swim freely there. Jump in your hiking boots to climb Mount Benara, Mount Choungui, visit Mamoudzou, the Benara Mountains Forest Reserve, Dzaoudzi, Boueni Bay, Maoré Garden and the islet of Saziley.
Martinique:
A land of adventure and escape, Martinique is by definition the island of nature. Bathed by the Caribbean Sea to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, this open-air postcard is a small paradise for hiking fans. If there is a site to visit? Mount Pelee! Volcano still in activity, it is one of the emblems of Martinique. On the city side, you can't do without a detour to Fort-de-France, Trois-Îlets, Sainte-Luce, Le François, Le Lamentin or Saint-Joseph. Rightly known as "Flower Island", it stretches over 350 kilometres of coastline where dream beaches alternate (Salines beach, Diamond beach, Arlet coves...), wild coves and pointed cliffs, a favourite playground for thrill seekers and water sports aficionados.
Guadeloupe :
In the heart of the Caribbean Sea, Guadeloupe, also known as "L'Île Papillon" because of its surprising shape, unrolls dream beaches as far as the eye can see before its amazed visitors. Paradise coves, hiking trails by the hundreds and small authentic villages, that's what awaits you if you choose to fly to Guadeloupe. From the wonderful island of Marie-Galante to the very cultural capital of Basse-Terre, not to mention Pointe-à-Pitre, Port-Louis, Sainte-Anne, there are many cities to visit in Guadeloupe! As for the beaches, those of Sainte-Anne, but also the beach of La Datcha and its panorama on Gosier Island, the beach of Raisins Clairs in Saint-François, the Grande Anse de Deshaies and the Anse du Souffleur in La Désirade are among the most beautiful. On the hiking side, the walkers will have a great time trying to climb La Soufrière to discover from its summit a unique point of view over the whole island. The Cabret Falls, near La Soufrière, are also worth a visit, as are the Pointe des Châteaux in Grande-Terre, the archipelago of Les Saintes, the Pointe de la Grande Vigie, and the Route de la Traversée (35 kilometres through the jungle)... So many highlights to discover during your stay. Finally, don't forget to visit the Damoiseau distillery and learn about diving in the Cousteau Reserve, known as one of the most beautiful in the world with more than 1000 hectares of breathtaking seabed.
Guyana:
Less popular (wrongly) than the other overseas islands, French Guiana is multiplying invitations to come and discover its treasures. Preserved and 100% natural, it will conquer the fans of green tourism thanks to its exceptional setting. Thanks to the omnipresence of the forest, many hiking trails criss-cross the island from one end of the island to the other, to the delight of budding explorers. Cayenne, the must see, is known for its prison, but also for its market, a real olfactory and gustatory journey on its own. Dragon fruit, plantain banana, Kythera plum, you will find a wide choice of local fruits and vegetables to taste absolutely. On the adventure side, we will be tempted by a canoe trip to the magnificent Kaw marshes, the ideal place to observe caimans, piranhas, herons, lizards, turtles, anacondas and other island birds. The cities of Cocoa, Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni, the Salvation Islands, Sinnamary, Kourou and its space centre (Arianes rocket launch site), Awala-Yalimapo (turtle laying site), not to mention the precious Amazonian forest, these are some of Guyana's highlights!
