In the heart of the Vanoise massif, in Savoie, Val d'Isère is one of those small mountain villages that seduce at first sight. Summer and winter alike, you can enjoy its friendly and authentic atmosphere and practice many activities.

After the creation of its winter sports resort in 1932, Val d'Isère quickly became an essential destination for ski lovers. It must be said that it has many assets : at the crossroads of Trois Vallées, at the foot of the mythical Bellevarde face, the ski area has 300 kilometres of slopes and offers a height difference of 1900 metres. In this superb environment, you can practice alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, tobogganing, biathlon but also dog sledding. In the snowpark, the most audacious will be able to launch themselves on bumps, rails and other boardercross.

During the summer period, the snow cover leaves its place to the green pastures and Val d'Isère invites you in a new whirlwind of pleasures and sensations. On foot, take the numerous paths that cross the village and discover the Ouillette lake, the fauna and flora of the Vanoise park and the superb panorama from the Iseran pass. Then go freewheeling on the mountain bike trails for long hours of downhill, enduro or cross-country. To vary the pleasures, let yourself be tempted by paragliding, via ferrata, adventure courses, canyoning, archery, tennis... And ski enthusiasts can always practice their favourite sport on the slopes of the Pissaillas glacier.

In all seasons, take the time to discover the village and its surroundings. With its preserved architectural heritage, its wooden, stone and stone chalets, Val d'Isère has a unique cachet that will amaze you at every detour of the alley. During your walk, appreciate the baroque church dedicated to Saint-Bernard-de-Menthon and its fabulous bell tower dating from 1664. Then go admire the Chevril artificial lake, its dam and the nearby resort of Tignes. Back in Val d'Isère, taste all the flavours of the legendary Savoyard gastronomy. On the menu: sausage, country ham, fondue, diots, crozets, polenta, Beaufort, tomme, Savoy cakes...

Swimming pool: the package gives one free entry. Restaurant on the slopes: "La Cascade" at the bottom of the Pissallas glacier, very good.

Well plowed by the commune. Great ice go-kart track. Impeccable ski conditions. Restaurant and bar at the Ouillette altitude. Restaurant "L'Avancher". Bar "The Garage". The market on Monday.

Lac de l'Ouillette is super pleasant with a family walk and a delicious restaurant! Walk around the lakes of the Sassière: easy for the whole family (our last one at 6 years old) and full of marmots around us, visible from close up!

On December 18th, the magic of Christmas returns to the mountains of Val-d'Isère. On this occasion, the village is decked out in Christmas colors. On this occasion, you will have the possibility to send your last letters to Santa Claus thanks to a mailbox in the Tourist Office square, as well as a photocall on the Christmas theme which will not fail to delight young and old.
