Nicknamed the Venice of Provence, Port Grimaud is a real annex of the Provencal village of Grimaud, crossed by numerous canals opening onto the sea.

Lulled by the Mediterranean Sea, this marina is a unique holiday destination. Nestled in the heart of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, you will love this lake city, especially thanks to its "sea streets" where you can travel by boat. Its fortified gates, Venetian bridges, canals and colourful, flowered houses, all of which have their own mooring rings, rightly deserve to be compared with one of Italy's most beautiful cities, Venice. Founded in 1966, Port-Gimaud invites you to stroll and walk, on foot or by boat, to the rhythm of the water.

Often copied but never equalled, Port-Grimaud is a real architectural jewel. Divided into three districts, this flamboyant marina welcomes each year many yachtsmen, curious to discover its least charms. Here everything is private, but visitors can rent boats to discover the secrets of this absolutely atypical place. Cars are forbidden, so that boats and bicycles are the only means of transport that you can use during these holidays. Embark for a pleasant visit along the waves, aboard an electric boat or via the "Coches d'eau" (a kind of taxi boat). Take the time to explore the 8 kilometres of waterways that criss-cross Port-Grimaud, for romantic and authentic parentheses, and take a stroll in this typical Provençal setting where 14 bridges poetically overlap the inlets. Between street lamps and arcades, trompe-l'oeil and pastel houses, Port-Grimaud will conquer the hearts of travellers in search of authenticity. Climb up to the ecumenical church of Saint-François from where you will have a breathtaking view of the bay of Saint-Tropez and the lake city : the ideal is to go there at sunrise or sunset, admire the colours of the sky reflected in the sea.

Enjoying maximum sunshine all year round, this Côte d'Azur port is also the perfect place for sunbathing, on its beautiful fine sandy beaches. While access to these beaches can sometimes be complicated, they are worth a detour. Lazy lovers will be able to put their towel on the fine sandy beach of the Old Mill : ideal to enjoy a few moments of relaxation, with its turquoise water and its superb view on Saint-Tropez, it is very popular with holidaymakers and inhabitants. Quiet and partly shady, Cigales beach is perfect for sunbathing: its picturesque bridge and its small lighthouse give it picturesque looks. Very popular because of its proximity to the campsites and restaurants of Port-Grimaud, Tamaris beach is located at the exit of the city, on the border with Sainte-Maxime. The most pleasant beach of Port-Grimaud is undoubtedly that of the city centre. Facing Saint-Tropez, with small bungalows, bars and restaurants, it is very appreciated by summer vacationers despite its rather coarse sand. You can also access the beaches of Saint-Tropez on foot from the beaches of Port-Grimaud, to enjoy a café facing its famous port. The Anse du Vieux Moulin, Beauvallon beach and Guerrevieille beach also deserve to be seen, for their pretty panoramas on the azure water and their pleasant setting.

Finally, in terms of sporting activities, you can water-ski, jet-ski, sail, tow buoy, pedal boat, kayak, paddle, surf, flyboard and even climb and parachute over the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, to discover the Riviera as you have never seen it before.
