In the heart of the valleys of Provence lined with olive trees, fig trees and fragrant pines, Solliès-Toucas lives to the sound of cicadas singing. Located on the banks of the Gapeau, about twenty minutes from the most beautiful beaches of Toulon, Hyères and La Seyne-sur-Mer, the town is an ideal holiday destination where you can pack your bags and enjoy the charms of the Mediterranean while avoiding crowded seaside resorts during the summer. With its old fountains, century-old plane trees, small shaded plots and bridges over the Gapeau river, Solliès-Toucas is a perfect place for walks. During your travels, you will cross paths with everything that has made the history of the town, such as the very beautiful square bell tower of the church of Saint Christopher, dating from 1701. You will not be able to pass by the old oil mill, the former convent of the Sisters of Compassion, but also the Gambetta Square, the Town Hall, the waterfall dam, the rue de la chapelle, the rue du Rayol, the Roman bridge and the old porch that once served as the village's entrance door.

The banks of the Gapeau River are a constant invitation to romantic walks, as are the hills overlooking the city, dotted with numerous hiking trails. The Gapeau valley is full of a multitude of sites to visit, each time offering incomparable panoramic views of the town and its surroundings: along the banks of the Gapeau and its waterfalls, you will find routes adapted to all levels of practice. The Bergeries circuit, the Marquands circuit, the very sporty circuit of the Entour de Siou Banc and the Cyclopibus circuit in Solliès-Toucas, but also the Aiguilles de Valbelle circuit in Belgentier are among the most beautiful routes in the area. In addition to hiking, you will find on the Solliès-Ville side an ideal adventure trail for young and old, with zip lines, vines, footbridges and climbing walls in the heart of centuries-old plane trees. From Solliès-Toucas to the sunny days, it will be impossible for you to resist the call of the Mediterranean beaches: also, from Bandol to Sanary-sur-Mer via La Seyne-sur-Mer, Toulon and La Valette-du-Var, you can, in addition to the traditional idleness sessions under the sun, opt for a surf or paddle course, a first dive, a kayak excursion, or a sea trip to meet the cetaceans that swim offshore.
