A small village in Haute-Provence perched in the middle of the Haut-Verdon valleys, Beauvezer is a 100% natural destination. In the heart of the mountains, this hiking area impresses by the purity of its panoramas.

Beauvezer means "beautiful to see", and when you arrive in the village, you can easily understand why it has inherited this sweet name. Known as the "Pearl of the Verdon", this small town in Provence is located opposite the Grand Coyer, which rises to an altitude of 2693 metres. During the winter, skiers and snowboarders will be delighted to discover that Beauvezer is only fifteen kilometres from the slopes of the Val d'Allos. You can choose between the village resort of Seignus, from 1500 to 2491 metres above sea level, or La Foux, spread out between 1800 and 2600 metres above sea level. They are the ideal family resorts, with 50 and 80 kilometres of alpine ski slopes for novices and experienced skiers, as well as snow parks, recreational areas, several cross-country skiing areas (60 kilometres of Nordic trails near La Colle Saint-Michel) and toboggan runs and snowshoe trails. On the Seignus side, we particularly recommend the Gros Tapy to good skiers to enjoy the landscapes and the difficult routes of the red piste of Valcibière (the longest in the Alps with 6.5 kilometres of snow away from the domain) or the unpaved area of the Combe de Lacroix.

In addition to its proximity to ski resorts, Beauvezer is a charming village where you can enjoy strolling around in the calm of its old buildings. At an altitude of 1200 metres, you can bet that you will fall in love with its architectural heritage and the surrounding landscapes, with a wonderful new view of the mountains on each street corner. What to see in terms of monuments? The church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin (rebuilt at the end of the 19th century), the chapel of Notre-Dame-du-Plan, the chapel of the Penitents and its painting of the Holy Family, the Square Tower, a remnant of the former fortified enclosure, fountains, stone houses, shaded squares and the city's former textile industries, most of which have now been transformed into hotels. Don't miss the Maison de Produits de Pays du Haut Verdon, located in an old sheet factory: it is here that gourmands will be able to stock up on local products to bring back in their suitcases! You can buy cold meats, mountain cheeses made on site, honey, but also discover the splendour of the local craft of wool weaving and woodworking, or learn all the tricks of genepi making!

Beauvezer, a classified climatic resort, is a small hiking paradise. There are several itineraries starting from the town, such as the heritage trail "Le Maître Drapier" or the very popular "Gorges de Saint Pierre" trail, famous for its spectacular landscapes and breathtaking canyon. Waterfalls, gorges, forests, rivers and mountain pastures in the d valley will have more secrets for you! Lake Allos is worth a visit, as are the Lance and Chamuie waterfalls, the Laupont itineraries (which culminate at an altitude of 2432 metres), the Lignin lakes, the Cirque de l'Encombrette and the Ratéry forest, Mount Pelat, the Adroit Canal trail, the Oratories and Piegut Tower trail, not to mention the 1000 kilometres of hiking trails that wind their way through the Haut-Verdon and the neighbouring Mercantour Park!
