Gréoux-les-Bains is a proud small typical Provençal village perched at an altitude of 364 metres. It seduces its visitors with its gentle way of life, its traditions and its typical richness. During your walks in the heart of the city, its calades and small pedestrian streets will guide you between the many fountains, squares and wash houses which mark out the commune. As far as the eye can see, the fragrant and colourful lavender fields, the wheat fields and the olive groves around the village, for a perfect Provencal picture. To contemplate the most beautiful points of view on these areas adorned with bright colors, take the direction of the castle of the city. Dominating the city, this 12th century building, a true medieval fortress also called "castle of the Templars", is the third largest castle in the region just behind the episcopal palace of Salon de Provence and the palace of the Popes in Avignon. Throughout the year, it hosts art exhibitions as well as shows during the summer period.

City of water, Gréoux-les-Bains vibrates to the sound of the lapping water that flows in its washhouses and fountains, which you can cross every detour of alley. The Fountain of Grysélis is certainly the best known, proudly throning on one of the main squares of the village. On the laundry side, one of them is on the side of the petanque ground and the second takes place on rue de la Fontaine Vieille. The thermal baths of Gréoux-les-Bains are among the most appreciated by the curists and this, since Roman times thanks to its waters with therapeutic virtues. Dating back to antiquity, these troglodytic baths situated on the edge of a large shaded park mainly treat rheumatic and respiratory diseases, and offer more than 35 treatments. For its part, the thermal spa will also allow you to take a wellness break in relaxation areas, saunas and hammams.

In addition to its thermal qualities, the resort of Gréoux-les-Bains enjoys a privileged location at the gateway to Europe's largest canyon, the Gorges du Verdon. Bordered by the crystal clear waters of the Verdon, the village is a veritable haven of peace. On foot or by bike, the wild banks of the river are a very popular place for strolling among Gryselians and holidaymakers who take advantage of this bucolic setting for picnics or refreshments. A few minutes from Gréoux-les-Bains is the Esparron-de-Verdon lake, ideal for swimming. One of its beaches is located on the very commune of Gréoux, offering visitors the chance to relax in an enchanting setting. You can also practice a wide range of nautical activities, from kayaking to paddle, canoeing, windsurfing, rowing and boat trips, to discover the exceptional site of the low gorges of the Verdon. Hiking enthusiasts will be able to take the famous Route des Crêtes, which will allow them to observe the clear waters of the canyon from magnificent lookouts, and water sports enthusiasts will be able to practice a number of whitewater sports, such as hydrospeed, rafting or canyoning. About forty minutes from Gréoux-les-Bains, Lake Sainte-Croix is a must see. The best ally of family holidays, it is adored by children who can swim in its warm waters and play on its beaches in complete tranquility.

With its ideal setting in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional du Verdon, Gréoux-les-Bains is the perfect place for outdoor activities. Whether you're a sportsman, jogger, rider, walker or cyclist, you're sure to find something to occupy your days under the Gryselian sun. Numerous mountain bike loops from Gréoux-les-Bains will allow you to cycle through the Valensole plateau (15 kilometres away) and its lavender fields as far as the eye can see during the summer, but also through the mountains and along the Verdon lakes, for a perfect discovery of the hidden charms of this little corner of paradise. Every year the resort organises several events around the cyclosport, such as the famous "Boucles du Verdon" which attract many participants. Finally, the region is lucky enough to be crossed by some very famous walking, cycling and motorcycle routes : the lavender road (100 kilometres) will take you from Gréoux to Valensole via Riez, Manosque, Reillanne, Oraison and Puimoisson the vineyard route (95 kilometres) will take you from Manosque to Régusse via Pierrevert and Volx to allow you to discover the vineyards and AOC wines that line the slopes of Provence. Finally, the "Olive Tree Route" (89 kilometres) will take you from olive groves to mills and museums, to help you discover all the secrets of this legendary fruit.
