Lovers of snow-scoot, surfing, snowboarding, downhill skiing, telemark skiing, tobogganing or free-ride? Welcome to Le Sauze, a proud little resort in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Nestled in the heart of valleys with plenty of snow, this pioneering ski resort is one of the oldest in France, renowned as much for its friendliness as for its sunshine, its facilities and its dreamy panoramas. Spread over 7 hamlets, it has a ski area with 65 magnificent, well-exposed slopes, served by 22 ski lifts at altitudes of between 1400 and 2400 metres. Its 34 pistes are suitable for all levels, whether you are a professional skier or a Sunday skier. 6 green, 12 blue, 14 red and 2 black pistes will delight all holidaymakers. A snowpark, 3 boardercross, 1 "kid park" and a training stadium complete the offer in the Sauze resort, which also has 4 mountain restaurants, perfect for a snack between two downhill runs. If by day the resort is dynamic, at night it is always full thanks to a varied and attractive night offer: tobogganing, snow grooming, ice karting, but also snowmobiling, torchlight descents and snake gliding with the family will liven up your evenings.

If you love the mountains but not so much sliding (yes, it can happen!), then snowshoes seem to be a good option to enjoy the snowy panoramas of the Sauze in the winter period. Starting from the resort, many marked (but not groomed) circuits will be at your disposal for a perfect communion with nature, in complete tranquility, far from the hustle and bustle of the heart of the domain. Solo, in duet or with a guide, you will discover everything that makes this beautiful corner of the Ubaye so special. A must see? The "Constable's Hat"! Perched at an altitude of 2682 metres, this summit is accessible from the Super-Sauze resort via a path and offers a unique panorama of the Bachelard and Ubaye valleys. The Montagne de l'Alp (2775 m), La Rouchinière (2709 m), the Tête des Fanets (2568 m), the Vallon des Routres and the Vallon de La Goutta are as many peaks and other splendid places that make the reputation of the resort, which we recommend you to discover during your expeditions. After a few contemplative and sporting excursions, don't hesitate to go to the indoor swimming pool of the Sauze: labelled Famille Plus, it seduces visitors for its views of the surrounding peaks, but also thanks to its water heated to 28.5°C, its solarium, its aquabikes and its lounge.

Finally, if you visit Le Sauze in summer, 30 kilometres of marked trails will delight lovers of walking and beautiful scenery. You can also opt for a rafting session and white water sports in the river Ubaye, discover the Sauze by mountain bike thanks to its enduro tracks, play tennis, trail riding, climbing, fishing, horse (or pony) riding, golf, paragliding, accrobranche or trampoline...
