Perched on the foothills of the Vallée de la Blanche at an altitude of 1071 metres, Selonnet is watered by the river of the same name. In the heart of a splendid preserved nature, this village in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence is connected to the ski resort of Chabanon, which overlooks it. A family destination, sunny and dynamic, Selonnet conquers many holidaymakers every year, both in winter and summer.

40 kilometres of alpine ski slopes spread out between 1612 and 2032 metres above sea level await holidaymakers every winter in search of sporting and recreational sensations. In detail, Selonnet and its resort of Chablon-Selonnet have 35 ski slopes (9 green, 9 blue, 13 red and 4 black) served by 12 lifts. You will therefore find enough to vary the pleasures of skiing and beautiful unspoilt stretches for all levels of practice. We particularly recommend the blue run "La Serre" from the "Les Combes" ski lift, for wonderful descents towards the Vallon de l'Ubarguet. The red slopes from the top of Tête Grosse, such as the "Chabane Vieille" and the "Lièvre Blanc", will be appreciated by experienced skiers for their panoramic views of the summit of La Bressa, which rises to 1981 metres above sea level.

If there is one popular activity in the resort, it is night skiing. The illuminated red run "Le Relai" is well known to regulars in Chablon-Selonnet: what if you too were tempted by its 3 kilometres of descent under the stars?

On the new snow sports side, the resort also has some great things to offer: its boardercross on the red slope of the "Crête des Mélèzes" has some sports bumps, while the snowpark (Pra Milan ski lift side) will delight freestyle enthusiasts with its tables, lines and modules for all levels. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, you can also choose tobogganing, buggy, yooner, ski-joering, snowmobiling, paragliding or dog sledding excursions.

If alpine skiing is king, Nordic skiing is not put aside for all that in Chablon-Selonnet, quite the contrary. Sporty, the resort has a link with the Nordic site of Le Fanget located at an altitude of 1500 metres. In all, 25 kilometres of trails totally dedicated to cross-country skiing will delight fans of both classic and skating. Through the fir forests, passes and snow-covered valleys, you will find a blue trail, two red trails and two superb black trails of 8 and 13 kilometres. In addition, snowshoe routes and an orienteering race course (snowshoeing) complete the range of activities that you can discover during your stay in Selonnet during the winter.

During your summer holidays in Selonnet, the activities will also be very varied: mini-golf, "ventriglisse", gliding, mountain biking, paintball, but also paragliding, Nordic walking and fishing in the Blanche will be on the programme. Not to mention hiking, which is the most popular activity during summer stays: the "Tour des Clots" trail, the "Plan des Sanières" trail, but also the one linking Chabanon to Chauvet, as well as the routes of the Chabanon forest (classified Natura 2000 area), those of the Massif des Monges and the botanical trail are essential to be able to contemplate some of the most beautiful green panoramas that Selonnet has to offer on the mountains of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.
