In summer as in winter, go family discover the mountain! In Hautes-Alpes, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, the wild and verdant nature run alongside major ski resorts. An authentic charm that is not found anywhere else is that what promises you the heights of these peaceful villages.

The Alpes is above all nine immense ski areas whose reputation is no longer to be made. Serre Chevalier, Montgenèvre, Superdévoluy... Names that make skiing enthusiasts dream. Add to that many village resorts for a more intimate winter sports practice, perfect for beginners and families with young children. The Hautes-Alpes are known for its heavy falls of snow which make the excellent quality of its resorts. Discover the mountain landscape on foot or on snowshoes on about twenty marked out sites. Let yourself also be tempted by a dog sled ride, which will give you the impression of having traveled to the Nordic countries.

Fans of architecture, you will not miss the two sites of fortifications classified Heritage of the UNESCO since 2008. It is Vauban, military architect and engineer of Louis XIV, who was in charge of supervising the sites of Briançon and Mont-Dauphin . Briançon reveals all the exceptional skill of the engineer who succeeded in building a remarkable defense site despite the complexity of the terrain. The fortified town Mont-Dauphin, located at 1050 meters above sea level, testifies again to the genius of Vauban. This star-shaped construction with pink marble ramparts barred particularly the access from the Italian borders. To discover in summer as in winter, these sites full of history framed by the summits are perfect to take a good breath of fresh air.

During the summer season, the Hautes-Alpes put more and more activities at your disposal. Enthusiasts of thrills will especially appreciate the experience of the Luge Monty Express in Montgenèvre: an unforgettable descent of 1400 meters amidst magnificent landscapes. Young and old one will come and fly a sled set on a monorail for a good dose of adrenaline ! Also visit the sites of the Grimp'in Forest in Briançon, Montgenèvre and Embrun. On the program in this amusement park in the middle of the forest: tree-climbing courses of several levels, via ferrata, mini-golf, paintball, laser game outdoors... There is something for everyone !

And if you are rather fans of "soft sensations", the water of Embrun will fill your desires of idleness. Grassed beaches to sunbathe in the sun, an aquapark in the middle of mountains, glaciers and restaurants to enjoy your stay... In short, everything to spend a great family day.
