Perched at 2100 meters in the Haute Savoie valley of Haute Tarentaise, Tignes Le Lac is the chief town of the domain of Tignes. The station was founded in 1968 and is the second most popular tourist site in the town. It combines a large number of shops and activities, making it the heart of Tignes's life. Whether you prefer skiing, relaxation or shopping, the possibilities are unlimited at the lake. As the name suggests, it borders the clear waters of Lake Tignes, which gives the impression of being in the middle of nature.

Tignes Le Lac is above all a modern estate of high quality. 80 ski run that stretch over 150 kilometers and 2 snowparks, just that ! Every year, it is the joy of thousands of enthusiasts. If skiing already has no more secrets for you, it is also the ideal place to conquer new winter disciplines like snowkiting or speedriding. Unique sensations that will satisfy the regulars of the slopes in search of adrenaline ! During the summer, about 20 km of slopes are also open to skiers lacking winter sports.

In the winter, the resort is the ideal starting point for discovering the serene beauty of the surrounding areas. We put on our snowshoes and we go on a hike through the magical nature. With a bit of luck, you can even cross ibex or chamois, as well as other treasures of the fauna and flora of Savoy.

The lake is, of course, one of the major attractions of Tignes Le Lac. When it freezes during the winter, an ice rink appears in the heart of the resort. The space of 800 m² is divided between playground and hockey field, allowing everyone to find his happiness. Once a week, the ice rink organizes Dancing Ice parties. Dancefloor atmosphere on the ice ! Come also make your first dive into the lake. Summer and winter, its turquoise waters conceal many secrets that the instructors of the school of diving will be a joy to make you discover.

Tignes Le Lac is finally the place conducive to relaxation. Go to the resort's spa, the Lagon, to recharge your batteries after skiing or sports. Saunas, hammams, jacuzzis... There is also a swimming pool with sports and playful pools and a paddling pool for toddlers. What happiness !

Within the Vanoise National Park, near the Italian border, Tignes-Val d'Isère (formerly known as "Espace Killy") offers you the mountain as far as the eye can see. Summer and winter alike, the estate invites you to practice many activities and to collect unforgettable moments.

Spread over 10 000 hectares, Tignes-Val d'Isère is one of the most beautiful and largest estates in the Alps. His birth certificate dates back to the mid-1930s when the villages of Tignes and Val d'Isère developed their winter sports activities and built their first cable car. It was not until 1971, however, that the two resorts were linked together and a few more years before this vast domain took the name of the great French ski champion. Today, Tignes-Val d'Isère groups together the ski areas of Val d'Isère and the five villages of Tignes : Tignes Lavachet, Tignes Le Lac, Tignes Val Claret, Tignes Les Boisses and Tignes Les Brévières.

With 300 kilometres of pistes of all levels, 3200 hectares of off-piste skiing, 78 ski lifts and a maximum altitude difference of 1900 metres, Tignes-Val d'Isère offers everyone the possibility of sliding according to their desires : alpine skiing, freeride, free-rando... Thanks to its infrastructures of international level, the ski area is also one of the high places of freestyle and invites you to discover its Gliss'Park, its snowparks, its boardercross or its halfpipe to make the full adrenalin. But also take advantage of the sledging areas, the slalom stadiums, the 44 kilometres of cross-country ski trails or take a snowshoeing, dog sled or snowmobile ride...

In summer, when the snow has receded, Tignes-Val d'Isère unveils its beautiful mountain pastures and invites you to discover new sensations. Hiking enthusiasts can explore the many paths that criss-cross this beautiful sector of the Vanoise National Park. As a family, take the Laye woods trail or the path that leads to Lac de l'Ouillette. If you prefer two-wheelers, attack the Iseran Pass or, by mountain bike, ride down the 150 km of Bike Park tracks that connect the two resorts. But also take advantage of your stay to practice golf, tennis, archery, horseback riding, via ferrata, paragliding, paddle, kayaking, rafting...
