Put your skis on : direction the pretty resort of Guzet-Neige ! Located in the heart of the Parc Naturel des Pyrénées Ariégeoises, this resort will surprise you with its extraordinary landscapes. With its 360° panoramic view over the surrounding mountains and its small authentic wooden chalets, you will certainly fall in love with this charming Pyrenean resort.
Its some 40 kilometres of slopes will revive amateur and confirmed skiers since here, everything is done so that everyone can get drunk on the pleasures of mountain holidays. In all, you will be able to discover three different areas of skiing, according to your level and your desires : the "Prat Mataou", will be ideal for beginners skiers, families and children thanks to its gentle slopes in the heart of snow-covered fir trees. Children can even learn to ski in the Kid Park, specially designed for them. The "Guzet 1400" sector is an ideal area for skiers and snowboarders who will be able to enjoy the wide slopes, the numerous modules of its snowpark, its slalom stadium and a secure freeride area. Finally, thrill-seekers will head for the "Freychet", an area at an altitude of over 2000 metres with steep slopes, perfect for experienced skiers. In this small family resort, even the most adventurous holidaymakers will be able to learn to paraglide in front of an exceptional panorama : alongside an experienced pilot, this first flight will be the perfect opportunity for you to admire from above the beauty of the immaculate landscapes of Guzet.
Back on the mainland, hikers will be able to discover superb landscapes by traversing the many snowshoe trails that cross the mountains and surrounding forests, away from the trails. In Guzet, snowshoeing can be done day or night ! Night outings are organized every week so that young and old can discover the charms of the mountain in a fun and original way.
Finally, Guzet knows how to wonderfully combine the pleasures of snow and well-being : to do so, take the direction of the terms of Aulus-les-Bains. In the heart of the preserved and invigorating nature of the mountains, you will find calm and serenity in this zenifying cocoon, perched at 800 meters of altitude.
At the end of the day, warm up in one of the resort's restaurants : its very popular high-altitude restaurant (Chalet Beauregard), will delight the most gourmet taste buds thanks to its mountain cuisine with Ariège flavours. Garbure, trout terrine, blanquette d'agneau de pays aux cèpes, or tartiflette and fondue ariégeoise enough to satisfy holidaymakers in search of a perfect stay.
