Raphèle, or Raphèle-les-Arles, is located in the department of Bouches-du-Rhône, about ten kilometres west of the heart of Arles. Thanks to its strategic location not far from Arles, but also from the Alpilles, Salon-de-Provence and the Mediterranean just 35 minutes away, Raphèle is definitely the perfect place to stay to discover all the wonders of this beautiful corner of France.

Renowned for its AOC hay, but also for its traditional Arles merino sheep farms, highly appreciated for both its meat and wool, the village of Raphèle unfolds its quiet little streets in the shade of the nearby giant Arlesian. A true little Eden of tranquillity, little known to tourists and bathed by the sweet scent of Provence and the Camargue, the village is well worth a visit to discover its beauty. On the west side, you will enjoy strolling near the church of Saint-Genès de Raphèle, built in 1853, recognizable by its Romanesque façade and the sound of its organ, which is added to the birds' cat. Pass through the Clos du Berger, the road to Fontvieille, and finally reach the Place des Micocouliers. On the east side, go through the rue des Santons to discover the Mas Trompette and the Mas Villebois, the place du 11 novembre, and the Clos des Missounenques on the side of the rue des Andains, so many visits that will give you a good idea of the village's heritage.

If the authenticity of Raphèle is clearly reflected in its architecture and atmosphere, it is also evident during the many festivities that punctuate its calendar. Very attached to the Provencal culture, the commune organizes throughout the year celebrations for all tastes: Flower Market, Votive Festival, Spring Festival, Christmas Market, Craft Fair, Christmas Party and other summer festivities will plunge you into the heart of the country's traditions.

In terms of activities, in Raphèle-les-Arles, nature lovers will be spoilt for choice! Discover the Camargue and its fauna by bike, quad, horse or on foot, Camargue races, mountain bike outings in the Raphèle marshes and other hikes will certainly be on the programme for your stay: situated at the gateway to the Camargue and the Alpilles, the town is indeed a privileged place to explore the region.
