Less known than its neighbors Houlgate, Cabourg and Deauville, Blonville-sur-Mer is a real paradise for family vacations. Right at the foot of Mount Canisi, overlooked by a structure of the Atlantic Wall, Blonville-sur-Mer is first of all worth a visit on the town side. Here, mansions and 17th century manor houses are legion, as well as the old farms that dot the countryside surrounding the town. If the Manoir d'Anquetôt is considered as one of the most beautiful of Blonville-sur-Mer, you can also enjoy the splendor of the seaside villas, which give a lovely seaside charm to Blonville-sur-Mer. In terms of religious heritage, you can discover the church of Notre-Dame-de-la-Visitation, or the chapel of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption, just a few kilometers from the heart of the town.
In addition to this emblematic architectural heritage of the Normandy region, there is a breathtaking natural heritage. What should you see? The Blonville marsh! Accessible thanks to numerous walking and biking trails, this property of the Conservatoire du Littoral is home to many protected bird species, as well as cattle. Spread over more than 110 hectares of wet meadows, canals and ditches, it is an immense biodiversity reserve, where poplars, rushes and hygrophilous plants rub shoulders with storks, reptiles, amphibians and more than 150 species of birds throughout the year.
After having been for a long time a high place of festivities until 2018, welcoming many French DJs like Martin Solveig, David Guetta or DJ Snake, Blonville-sur-Mer is nowadays more known for its numerous garage sales, its festivals and its family summer animations. The favorite place for families remains the coast of Blonville-sur-Mer: located between Villers-sur-Mer and Bénerville, at the foot of magnificent cliffs, most of the magnificent beaches of the seaside resort are only accessible at low tide. From the Plage Ouest to the Plage Est, passing by the Plage Gobelins and the Plage Laforge, you are bound to find the perfect place to lay your towel. From the latter, you can rent the emblematic parasols of the coast, and also opt for the practice of water activities according to your desires: sailing, paddle, sand yachting and other sensational sports will not fail to delight the whole family.
