Bordered by the warm waters of the golf courses of Sagone and Liscia, between Cargese and Ajaccio, the village of Casaglione is the perfect place for stays under the legendary Corsican sun. Picturesque: this is the ideal word to define the village of Casaglione. Situated facing the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea, at the foot of the Capraghja rock, it has all the features of the small village of Corsica as one imagines it: permanent sunshine, abundant vegetation and marked architecture make it a wonderful postcard for your holidays. Take the time to visit its charming village, made of buildings with the typical architecture of the Isle of Beauty. Here, thick, fortified walls are legion, as are the granite houses that give the town an almost romantic atmosphere. After visiting the Romanesque church of Casaglione, take the small path that goes around it to discover the Tremica dolmen, a current witness of the ancient occupation near the village.

Take the time to get lost along the footpaths that tirelessly lead you towards the Ambiengna pass, Monte Lazzu or the sea. The thick maquis that surrounds the village is a huge open-air playground for all hiking enthusiasts who will be able to discover the richness of the local flora and fauna, made up of a wide variety of species ranging from strawberry trees to cyclamen, including rockroses, myrtles, lavender, pines, peonies, holm oaks, olive trees and chestnut trees that make the reputation of the region. On your way, it will not be rare to come across pigs and cows in the wild, but also foxes, snakes, turtles and hedgehogs. A fauna and flora which make Corsica a land of gourmet food, with rich gastronomic traditions; so, during your stay in Casaglione, don't hesitate to push the door of the small family shops to taste the flavours of the local cuisine. On the menu? Polenta with chestnut flour and figatellu, brocciu with brandy, wild boar stew, roasted caper, omelette with brocciu and strawberry tree honey, potato pancakes with local cheeses, coppa, lonzu, Prisuttu, bouillabaisse with rock fish, veal stir-fry with olives and other fiadones with brocciu will delight the taste buds of young and old alike.

Finally, for swimming, head for the seaside resort of Tiuccia, located in the municipality of Casaglione: the cove and the beach of Tuccia will be ideal for your lazy breaks in the sun. If the cove is a little wilder, lined with magnificent rocks, the beach will be ideal for family bathing. In its extension, the marvellous beach of Liamone will be able to satisfy the water sports lovers who will be able to practice a whole range of activities according to their desires, from surfing to paddle, without forgetting diving and sailing...
