Nature, culture, escape... Brittany promises its visitors a whole lot of discoveries, new sensations and breaks in the open air. What would you say about a trip to the Côtes-d'Armor, and more precisely to Plouguiel, for an authentic break in the heart of a jagged coastline that will amaze the whole family with its history and its stones.

Drawn in its south by the meanders of the Guindy which separates the town from the commune of Tréguier, then in the west by the course of the Jaudy which poetically flows in the north of its lands in the waters of the Channel, Plouguiel is a true pearl, unconditionally turned towards the sea. About forty kilometers from the Regional Natural Park of Armorique and 19 kilometers north of Lannion, it is in the province of Trégor that the village flourishes, watered by its rivers. Like the Côtes-d'Armor and Brittany, Plouguiel is endowed with a rich and ancient heritage that you will have the opportunity to discover during your stay. But what to see ? Here, the religious heritage is consequent, so we recommend you to discover the church Notre-Dame, the chapel of Kelomad, and to stroll along the streets of the village to contemplate the beauty of its typically Breton houses. You will also discover the 15th century Manor of Lezhildry, or the magnificent Castle of Keralio built in the 15th century, which you can visit between July and September. Our advice? Don't miss a stop in the exotic gardens of the Manoir de Kestellic : with a view on the Jaudy river, these wonderful gardens planted with 1800 species of plants from the four corners of the world will take you on a trip around the world, without having to leave Brittany... We love it !

But Plouguiel is also perfect for hikers who will find many walking itineraries, paths that will allow them to take the Saint-François bridge of 1837 that spans the Guingy river in the direction of Tréguier, but also the Kerdeozer viaduct on the old railway line that linked Tréguier to Perros-Guirec, as well as the magnificent aqueduct of the Guindy built in 1610 and the Keralio bridge. If there is a place to go for a walk that is appreciated by visitors, it is the small port of La Roche-Jaune: in the north-east of the town, this port on the river of Tréguier is a vast shellfish farm. In addition to walking around, you may have the opportunity to taste oysters, with an unobstructed view of the sea! Finally, how can you visit Plouguiel without mentioning Tréguier and its splendid abbey, or its wonderful neighbor Plougrescant? With its abyss, a fascinating granite chaos on which the waves break, but also thanks to its beaches like those of Porz Hir, Plougrescant will be the icing on the cake of this Breton stay, offering hair-raising breaks and restful interludes by the sea to those who want to take the time to discover this pretty corner of Breton paradise.
