In terms of natural heritage, we can only strongly advise you to visit one of the most important sites in the region: the Pointe de l'Espiguette. Protected, the Pointe de l'Espiguette is a wild natural site stretching over nearly 18 kilometers; with its white dunes as far as the eye can see, its marshy areas, its particular flora and its numerous species of birds, the place lends itself marvelously to family walks with the Mediterranean in the background. Its beach, the "Plage de l'Espignette", is renowned for being one of the most beautiful in the whole of the Camargue: almost deserted, it is a real paradise for nature lovers and wilderness enthusiasts, which will appeal to families as much as to holidaymakers in search of peace and quiet. You can get there via a 5-kilometer bicycle path, linking the seaside to the city center of Grau-du-Roi.
When you think of Grau-du-Roi, you instantly imagine its 18 kilometers of fine sand bordered by the warm, turquoise waters of the Mediterranean... and rightly so, since it is the water that has made the reputation and history of the town. Whether you are a simple contemplative, a passionate swimmer or a sportsman who loves the latest in water sports, you are bound to find what you are looking for in Grau-du-Roi. Also, there are many water activities available along the beaches of the resort: you can windsurf, jet-ski, surf, catamaran, windsurf, kitesurf, fish, go for sea rides, but also scuba dive and get your boat license.
