In the heart of Haute-Savoie, the peaceful commune of Grand-Bornand extends over the Aravis massif. This small village has kept its authentic charm with its centenary chalets and its small 12th century church. Between tradition and modernity, its inhabitants wish above all to preserve their architectural and cultural heritage, which makes it a flagship destination for mountain lovers. The Aravis range surrounds the village, from which you can even see Pointe Percée, a peak that rises to 2750 metres above sea level. Just a few kilometres from the village, the resort of Grand-Bornand Chinaillon welcomes winter sports enthusiasts.

Le Grand-Bornand Village is both the dynamism of a large resort and the tranquility of a Savoy village. Its ski area is very vast and well known in the region. It has a total of 44 tracks over an area of 83 kilometres. There is also a snowpark accessible to all lovers of sliding with half-pipe, boardercross and several jump lines. The domain also allows you to discover many other more extreme disciplines reserved for good skiers such as speedriding or heliskiing. Instructors are ready to introduce you to these practices and make you discover an intense feeling of freedom.

Grand-Bornand Village is both a family destination and an authentic destination. For generations, residents have passed on their customs and know-how to younger generations. The commune has a great agricultural tradition to be found in its many farms. The production of the reblochon fermier is one of the village's flagship products. At the Alpage du Croix, come discover the work of farmers and enjoy a unique snack on a traditional farm. On the menu: homemade jam, farmhouse reblochon (of course !), farmhouse faisselle, pastries... Only local flavours !

Continue your cultural and gustatory visit during a gourmet walk in the Old Village of Chinaillon. These guided tours take place once a week during the summer. You will discover the history of this old 17th century village, from its century-old customs to the development of winter sports. During the visit, local merchants and farmers will offer you local products to taste.

Finally, the true gourmands will not fail to stop also in the many restaurants of the village. "Aux Aravis" is the best place to discover Savoyard gastronomy. The restaurant serves classic regional specialities such as raclette, hot cans and other fondues, but also very original burgers and meat dishes. A large choice of homemade desserts will finish your meal in style. Also impossible not to mention the rustic and warm setting that immediately puts you at ease !

For snowshoe or ski rental, go to Perillat in the town centre. They are super professional and the reception is really nice. The snowshoe outing "discovery of the ibexes" is great. You can see these animals up close in a beautiful setting.
