Known for its thermal baths, Lamalou-les-Bains is the ideal place to stay for cures of fresh air and tranquility. As relaxing as it is dynamic, this municipality has all the cards in hand to be conducive to letting go.

Watered by the Orb, Lamalou-les-Bains takes place in the Haut-Languedoc Regional Natural Park, in the Hérault department. Classified as a Tourist Resort since 2014, this green municipality by nature enjoys a particularly privileged location, at an altitude of 200 metres. Between the sea, mountains and fertile plains dotted with vineyards, this tourist centre has everything to please holidaymakers looking for peace and quiet and a holiday in the countryside. As for heritage, the town has some notable sites to see during your stay, such as the very beautiful Notre-Dame de l'Assomption church, the Notre-Dame de Capimont sanctuary overlooking the Orb Valley, or the Saint-Pierre-de-Rhèdes church located on the foundations of an ancient Christian sanctuary from the very end of the 4th century. But the discovery of Lamalou-les-Bains does not stop there: put on your sneakers to explore the Massif du Caroux. Perched between 1000 and 1100 metres above sea level, it reveals from its summit an impregnable panoramic view of the Rhone Valley, the Pyrenees, the Pic Saint-Loup and the Canigou. The Voie Verte du Haut-Languedoc, the Voie Verte Passa Païs (walk, bike, horse or rollerblade), but also the forest and the Usclade park will be perfect for hikers, contemplative people and nature lovers. The latter is absolutely splendid, adorned with century-old cedars and a 19th century music stand! Further on, it is impossible not to visit Pézenas and its historic centre dotted with private mansions, Bedarieux and its mills, Villemagne l'Argentière and its Devil's Bridge, to hike or canoe in the Gorges d'Héric (in the Caroux massif), or in the Gorges de Colombières, absolutely magnificent.

But what attracts holidaymakers to Lamalou-les-Bains above all is its thermal baths. Surrounded by more than fifteen springs resulting from mining (during the 11th and 12th centuries), Lamalou-les-Bains is a real paradise for visitors seeking wellness breaks. Specialized in rheumatology and neurology, the spa has a water with therapeutic virtues that have been recognized for centuries now. Also, many treatments are provided that you can enjoy during your stay: drinking cures, spray showers, mud poultices, underwater massages, but also pilates, Nordic walking, stress management workshops, aquagym, zumba, essential oil wraps, music therapy, beauty treatments, Qi Gong, sophrology or yoga sessions will allow you to make the most of your stay.

Finally, after hiking, playing at the casino, playing golf or taking advantage of the treatments provided in the resort's thermal baths, it would be a shame not to take a little dive into the sea! The beaches of Agde, Valras and Vias are only an hour's drive away, so you can enjoy all the charms of the Mediterranean in a few moments. You can bubble under the sun, swim, surf, scuba dive, jet-ski or sail, eat good regional dishes, without forgetting the traditional ice cream as a dessert tasted in front of the sunset on the sea...
