With its privileged environment, Valras-Plage offers to the amateurs of strolls many possibilities. By bicycle, several itineraries allow you to quickly reach the Canal du Midi, one of the most beautiful works of the 17th century, now classified as a UNESCO world heritage site. On foot, discover nearby natural sites such as Les Orpeillères, which shelters a vast area of salt meadows, or the Grande Maïre, which offers very diverse landscapes between dunes and lagoons. After a good walk, you can relax in the spa or, if you still want to move, join the tennis club, the city stadium or the skate park of the resort.
During your holidays in Valras-Plage, take the time to discover the wonderful sites nearby. In particular, visit Béziers with its majestic Saint-Nazaire cathedral, its Roman arenas and the nine Fonseranes locks. Then admire the collegiate church of Our Lady of Grace, in Sérignan, and the archaeological site of Ensérune whose museum gathers many objects of Gallic, Greek, Roman and Iberian origin. But also take advantage of your stay in this small part of Occitania to taste the good products of the soil : fish, olives, biscuits, wines... A pleasant activity: it is the cruise aboard the Bateaux du Midi, a day trip on a barge with a restaurant on the Canal du Midi, extremely friendly staff on board... to do absolutely.
