Between Orléans and Tours, in the heart of a region particularly appreciated by lovers of history and old stones, the commune of Seillac has enough to delight many souls. Merged with Coulanges and Chouzy-sur-Cisse in 2017 to finally form the large commune of Valloire-sur-Cisse, the town belongs to the Loire Valley, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Above all, we advise you to take the time to visit the old heart of the village: with a 12th century church dedicated to Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur, Seillac would have been a stopover for pilgrims on their way to Compostela in the past. The 18th century castle in the Domaine de Seillac is worth seeing, as is the Holland district in Chouzy, not forgetting the former abbey of La Guiche, the former medieval priory, the Laleu manor and the remains of old mills located along the course of the Cisse river.
As far as activities are concerned, outdoor sports enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice during their stay in Seillac. The 9-hole La Carte golf course will delight lovers of the greens, while lovers of horse riding will be able to discover the area thanks to the Chouzy Stables and the Haras de Laleu. Tennis with friends, quad biking, flying over the surrounding area in a microlight, fishing in the Cisse or the Loire and other water sports will punctuate your days. But what is most successful here is hiking. Walkers will be able to enjoy several dozen kilometres of marked trails in the large commune of Valloire-sur-Cisse, loops that will allow you to discover the elegant beauty of the wooded and hilly valleys that shape the Loire Valley landscapes. Mountain bike enthusiasts will be able to take advantage of the "Loire à Vélo" trails, itineraries that will lead them to the most beautiful castles of the region.

Superb restaurant in Amboise at the foot of the castle: "L'Ambacia", fresh produce, tasty cuisine accompanied by Touraine wine, dishes as beautiful as they are good for a very good quality/price ratio. An address to know. The castles on the banks of the Loire and the Cher are to be built as well as the Beauval zoo.
