A holiday resort located on the shores of Lake Der, Europe's largest artificial lake, Giffaumont Champaubert invites you to relax and escape in a preserved and green natural setting. A huge open-air playground, Lac du Der conquers the hearts of young and old every year thanks to its beauty, but also because of its many sports facilities for all. During this stay, you will be able to discover the joys of sailing, but also to laze on the lake's 6 equipped beaches, take boat rides, water skiing, outboard, canoeing, catamaran, pedal boat, wakeboard or even the towed buoy, a fun activity that will delight the whole family. Isn't water sports your cup of tea? Don't panic: with 77 kilometres of shoreline, there are many rollerblading and mountain bike trails around the lake. You can also opt for a ride on a mini-train, a game of mini-golf, a sports session on the treetop course or a fun day at Toon's Land Park. The lake is also well known to fishermen who come in large numbers to fish for tench, carp, pike, perch and roach. For incomparable panoramic views of the lake and its surroundings, we advise you to fly over the lake in ULM, by plane or by paraglider for the more adventurous! Those who would like to enjoy beautiful views without the thrills will then have to go to the Giffaumont Champaubert water tower, an observatory well known for its breathtaking view of the lake.
