Formerly called "Bieuzy-les-Eaux", Bieuzy, today attached to the municipality of Pluméliau to form the new municipality of Pluméliau-Bieuzy, is located in the department of Morbihan, in the Brittany region. Surrounded by nature, Bieuzy is a real little paradise for those who love hiking and wide open spaces. Just north of its territory, the town is home to the Landes du Crano, a classified area of Ecological, Faunistic and Floristic Interest, the largest in the entire Blavet valley. You will discover an abundant vegetation, as well as a great variety of birds (yellow bunting, garden grouse, pitchou warbler, grey flycatcher...) and a whole lot of reptiles going from the snake to the viper, passing by green lizards, wild boars and roe deers. In order to discover the village and its surroundings, Bieuzy is equipped with hiking trails that will allow you to travel through the landscapes of the Breton countryside, such as the Kerdavid circuit of 5 kilometers, or the circuit of the ponds, of 2 kilometers, perfect for a small family stroll. But the Blavet valley is a real treasure for those who love nature and adventure, so, in the heart of a valley full of sites to discover, Bieuzy reveals to its visitors a magnificent built heritage and one of the most beautiful sites of the valley: the promontory and the loop of Castennec!

In short, Bieuzy is an immense open-air playground for nature lovers, but also a territory which shelters numerous monuments to discover. While walking in the village, you will discover prehistoric and ancient vestiges in the House of Rohan, and the Dolmen of Kermabon. Chapels and churches are also legion in the area (the church of Notre-Dame, the chapel of Saint-Gildas known to be located under the rock on the edge of the Blavet, the chapel of Saint-Samson, those of La Trinité, of la Vraie-Croix...), as well as fountains, oratories or mills (such as the flour mill of Rimaison). A medieval tombstone from the 13th century, the Gallic stele of Castennec, the Castle of Kerven or the ruins of the Castle of Rimaison (from the 16th century) will complete your discovery of this very beautiful village of Brittany. Pontivy and its historical heart (14 kilometers to the north), Guerlédan (30 kilometers) and its lake or Lorient (50 kilometers away) will be the icing on the cake of this trip to Brittany.
