In the Pas-de-Calais department, on the border with the Somme, the small village of Warlincourt-lès-Pas has less than 200 souls. 25 kilometres south of Arras, 40 kilometres north of Amiens and 75 kilometres from the beaches of Le Crotoy and Fort-Mahon, it is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday in the heart of the Hauts-de-France region.
A quiet town, far from the major tourist destinations, Warlincourt-lès-Pas is the ideal place for family holidays. A pleasant town, it does not have a marked heritage strictly speaking, but inspires calm and serenity thanks to its beautiful houses, its fields as far as the eye can see and its abundant vegetation. The river Quilienne which waters it is one of the tributaries of the Authie, which gave its name to the neighbouring bay. The Source of the Kylienne is also one of the sites not to be missed during your stay: hidden in the hollow of the Warlincourt woods, at the very south of the village, it consists of a small pond in front of which a chapel dedicated to Saint Kilien was erected, a less Irish man who according to the legend would have made himself gush the source of the mountain to save the local population who suffered from the drought.
Ideally situated to discover the most beautiful destinations in the region, the town is only 25 kilometres from the wonderful and historic city of Arras. By bike or car, you can easily reach it and discover all its secrets. Things to do Climb to the top of the belfry! Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this Arras balcony will offer you incomparable panoramas of the city and the Pays d'Artois. After climbing up this local heritage monument, head for... The bowels of Arras, to visit the boves! Former chalk quarries located 12 metres under the cobblestones of the town, they are famous for their interminable galleries, spread over more than 20 kilometres, which go up and down, winding under the town's arteries and hiding, in particular, vestiges of the Second World War. Back on the cows' floor, it is impossible not to stroll through the heart of the city centre, through the Place des Héros in particular, or the Grand-Place. Perfect for a stroll, they are just as perfect for shopping and eating on the terrace. Andouillette d'Arras, Hauts-de-France beers, Rat d'Arras (chocolate!), not forgetting Cœur d'Arras (a biscuit), P'tit Dieu cheese, Mascaron, chicory confit, Maroilles tart, fricadelle, Flemish carbonnade and mussel-fries will delight the taste buds of young and old alike.
Finally, to round off this stay in Warlincourt-lès-Pas and the Hauts-de-France region, it is impossible not to make a short stopover on the coast.
