## Location
Located at the limit of La Rochelle, Puilboreau is a commune of Charente-Maritime which takes place in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The town was born in 1858 from the merger of Dompierre and Lagord.
However, the territory has existed as a village since at least the 12th century. Its activity was mainly viticultural, offering wines processed in La Rochelle, or a brandy which knew a certain notoriety at the time of Philippe-Auguste. During the 19th century, due to vine diseases, Puilboreau turned to wheat cultivation and breeding.
The proximity of Puilboreau to La Rochelle has earned it a certain notoriety as a tourist destination, making it a pleasant stopover for visitors to the region. A modest architectural heritage finishes seducing.
