There are plenty of cycling and walking routes that lead you through the woods and along the moors, and you can have a lovely swim at recreation area Nulde in summer. In the centre, you will find plenty of cosy restaurants, cafés and shops. In summer, numerous festivals and events take place, such as the annual Farmers' Market and the Putten Summer Evening Fair. A visit to the nostalgic Maria's Hoeve, picking garden Het Platteland and Landgoed Schovenhorst is also worthwhile.
