Newly built, centrally located apartment with superb large sun terrace and pool in Estepona, close to the New Golden Mile / Marbella area.
There are only a few newly-built apartments for rent in the area, and especially few that benefit from such a central location. This apartment was first occupied in summer 2022. It is located in South Bay Las Mesas 1, a complex with a limited number of luxury apartments and facilities.
The apartment has the following features:
- 2 bedrooms, each with a Boxspring double hotel bed.
- 2 luxurious bathrooms, 1 with shower and 1 with shower/tub combination. - Fully equipped kitchen with all appliances, induction stove, oven, microwave, juicer, iron, dishwasher and washing machine. All appliances from Bosch, cooling and heating from Daikin.
- Large refrigerator and freezer.
- Smart flat-screen TV.
- Free WiFi.
- Giant terrace accessible from the living room and bedrooms.
- Sofa bed where an extra fifth person can sleep comfortably.
Giant terrace:
The terrace and apartment are south-facing and feature 2 large remote-controlled shutters that create the shade needed on hot days. Comfortable deckchairs, dining table and chairs on the terrace, separate chairs for relaxing... it's all there.
The terrace overlooks the entrance to the peaceful Las Mesas park, with a small playground below.
Further on, you'll see the "Las Mesas" fitness, tennis and padel complex. Those who like to play padel or tennis can do so 100 meters away.
Additional facilities:
From the apartment, you can take the elevator up 2 floors and arrive at a platform of over 800 square meters with a breathtaking view of Estepona, the clear blue sea all the way to the Rock of Gibraltar.
There's a children's pool and a 20-meter-long pool for swimming laps. Sun loungers and parasols are available free of charge.
The complex has its own gym with large windows overlooking the sun terrace and pools where you can swim and, above all, relax.
The swimming pool is open all year round (8 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a rest period from 2.30 to 4.30 p.m.).
The whole complex exudes tranquility.
Close to everything, everything within walking distance:
From the apartment, it's just a 5-minute walk to the port with good restaurants and a little further to the Estepona bay/beach. On Wednesdays, there's a street market nearby and on Sundays, there's a market at the port.
Nearby is the old bullring where bullfights are no longer held, but it's a historic venue for cultural events.
2 or 3 minutes away, there's a grocery store open 7 days a week until late, a store where you can buy delicious roast chicken and French fries, a pharmacy and a number of eateries.... The grocery offers fresh bread.
A little further on, you'll find both a Lidl and a large Aldi. Walk in the other direction and you'll find a pretty Dias supermarket. Everything is nearby for those who want to cook.
There's also a large Carrefour hypermarket on the other side of Estepona about 3 kilometers away.
Estepona:
This town, with flowers on almost every street, exudes atmosphere and charm. During the day, but certainly also in the evening. The restaurants, stores and boutiques, often open until 10 p.m., invite you to an evening out. Elegant tapas and a pint of beer or more hearty fare on Plaza Flores, the rooftop terrace of El Pilar, at evening tables in the many streets and squares... Or trendier tapas at 'El Bulla', highly recommended.
Eating out is generally much cheaper than in countries like Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, France or Scandinavia. On the beach, there are restaurants where fresh fish or meat is cooked over charcoal.
The old town is only 1.6 km from the apartment, so it's perfect for a stroll. You'll spend some lovely evenings here, after a day of sport, sunbathing, conversation, reading or simply napping.
The region:
Estepona borders Marbella and the New Golden Mile. Not too built-up, lots of greenery, squares, embankments and perfectly maintained streets.
This is perhaps the most beautiful part of Spain. In the distance you'll see the Rock of Gibraltar, and to the left you can see the coast of Morocco in the distance.
By car or public transport, Malaga is easy to reach (one hour away), a lively city full of culture, a beautiful port, countless stores, restaurants... a city that leaves a lasting impression especially in the evening.
Which dike:
From the apartment, you can walk to the harbor and immediately to the seawall... You can walk and cycle a long way along the sea. There's little risk of you getting thirsty, as there are plenty of terraces along the seawall.
A different pace:
It's possible to eat throughout the day. Sleep a little longer, eat at 3 or 4 p.m... it's perfectly possible.
Climate:
320 days of sunshine a year...
This makes the apartment a pleasant place to live all year round, even in the months you didn't think of right away - October, November, December, January... April, May... everything is charming.
Airport:
The nearest airport is Malaga, about 50 minutes from the apartment. You can take a cab or rent a car, with which you can also explore the wider region.
Welcome to the apartment :
The apartment was bought by a Belgian TV producer who bought it to allow his adult children to visit him from time to time. He and his family are crazy about Andalusia and live just a few streets away for most of the year. The apartment has been decorated by them in a very cosy bohemian style, in a way that they themselves appreciated. The apartment can be rented out when it's not occupied by the family.
That's why it doesn't feel like a classic rental apartment. On the contrary, arriving here will feel like "coming home".
The staff at Groupe Hanami ensure that it's perfectly maintained and that you have every comfort in the world. You'll be welcomed in the same way as in a good hotel: with soapy water and a warm welcome.
