Are you looking for a charming bed and breakfast in the South-West of France, near Pau and the Spanish border, for a relaxing break or a business trip?
We'd be delighted to welcome you to one of our spacious, comfortable guest rooms, tastefully furnished in our house, a former 18th-century presbytery in Oloron Sainte Marie, capital of the Haut Béarn region.
Our guest house is ideally located between Pau, the Basque Country and the Hautes-Pyrénées, on the pilgrim routes to Santiago de Compostela (GR653 and GR78).
It's in a peaceful setting, both in town on Place Saint Pierre, in the heart of the old medieval quarter of Sainte-Croix, and in the countryside, with its tiered garden overlooking the Gave d'Ossau. Its stone walls, parquet flooring and period woodwork (wide staircase and beams) create a calm, serene atmosphere conducive to rest and meditation.
You'll feel right at home here. What's more, the old medieval square offers easy parking in front of the house, and just a few minutes' walk away, you can visit the town center and the many restaurants.
Its geographical position makes this haven of peace an ideal base camp for a stay that will enable you to discover and be seduced by the valleys of Aspe, Ossau, Barétous, the Oloron piedmont and even the whole of Béarn. Indeed, a wide range of activities awaits you in the vicinity, enabling you to make the most of the riches of these Béarn valleys. Here are some of our favoriteshere.
We'll do our utmost to help and advise you during your stay: cultural and heritage visits, nature activities (hiking or snowshoeing, road or mountain bikingskiing, river sports, fishing), local produce and gastronomy, to name but a few. You'll always find a theme to suit your mood!
For your enjoyment, our gourmet breakfasts, served on the terrace in fine weather, are copious, varied and "home-made".
Spaces in the garden or in the lounge await you for a moment of relaxation at the end of the day.
Sharing and exchanging ideas in a friendly atmosphere will bring your day to a pleasant close, and help you anchor your memories of the Haut-Béarn region!
