our gite boasts lovely views a qjuiet location although we are 10 minutes drive to our nearest town which has plenty of amenities and is also médiéval. For colder nights we have a log burning stove . We have a number of large attractions within an hour of us to name a few, Futuroscope Put du fou, Oriental gardens, Zoo Doue Fontaine and many small chateaux, Deux Sevres is in its own micro climate and is said to be the second sunniest place in France next to the Cote d'Azur.
