Restored Alsatian house on 3 levels, balcony, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with wc.
Dating from 1720, the house has been recently restored to create a cosy cocoon that can accommodate 2 to 6 people. Grocery store and bakery-pastry shop in the village 5 minutes' walk away.
Situated on a small, very quiet square in a cul-de-sac, the house comprises ..:
- Raised first floor:
A few steps lead up to the wooden balcony, furnished with a marble-topped table and bistro chairs. At the entrance to the house, on the left is the first bathroom, with washbasin, [hidden] and shower. Opposite, you'll find a large living room, with a large table, wood-burning stove and table soccer for adults (children aged 8 and over).
Next is the TV lounge (large flat-screen), with a BZ sofa that converts to a 2-person bed (quality bedding).
The semi-open kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, Nespresso coffee maker and filter coffee maker. Basic products available: salt, sugar, oil, vinegar, tea, coffee, spices. Also on site, all cleaning products as well as vacuum cleaners and mops.
On the second floor, accessed via a millers' ladder staircase, you'll find :
- the master suite with a 140/190 trundle bed, a small dressing room and an en-suite bathroom with bath, double vanity unit and [hidden].
-- a bedroom with 2 single beds and access to the master suite bathroom.
On the 2nd floor, an under-roof space (height 1 m 45) has been fitted out and equipped as a rest room and playroom for children.
All fittings and bedding are new and of good quality.
The basement, which is slightly underground (it used to be the sheepfold), is the locked bike and motorcycle room.
You can park your car in front of the house.
Numerous cycle paths and hiking trails around Guémar and in the nearby vineyards.
Arrivals are usually from 3 pm and departures no later than 10.30 am. Please let me know approximately when you expect to arrive.
And on the day of your arrival, I'd also ask you to call me about 1 hour before your arrival, so that I can come and welcome you and hand over the keys.
