You're just 2.5 km from France's largest lake, close to the Dunes and Marshes Nature Reserve, and the ocean is only 20 minutes away by car.
The charming 3* L'Orée du Bois campsite is the perfect place to set down your suitcases in an authentic, shady setting!
This family campsite, which is currently undergoing a complete overhaul, has pulled out all the stops, with a new state-of-the-art aquatic area, revamped services, top-class entertainment and a wide range of activities for all ages.
All season long, the entertainment team offers activities for everyone. The kids' club is sure to put a smile on the faces of our youngest guests and create unforgettable vacation memories during the school vacations.

You can alternate between fresh and salt water! The Atlantic Ocean and its invigorating waves for the older ones, or a family swim in the calmer waters of the lake, where numerous water sports activities are also on offer.

- Description of the Aquatic Area:
From the start of the season, the most courageous will be able to swim laps in the first outdoor pool, heated only by the sun's rays. In the heat of summer, this will provide refreshment and relaxation for the whole family.
From the beginning of May, we'll be adding the big news of the year!
The creation of a brand-new, additional aquatic area offering :
- A second indoor heated pool with paddling pool, for fun, relaxation and splashing about whatever the weather:
* A large pool for gentle morning swims, but also the venue for a wide range of activities.
* A paddling pool for the little ones, with a water garden and games for splish, splash, splash, splash, splash, splash, splash, splash, splash, splash, splash, splash, splash, splash, splash, splash, splash, splash.
- 4 new outdoor toboggan runs for thrill-seekers, with bends, slides and speed peaks.
Deckchairs lining the edge of the pool are just waiting for you to take a breather.
Dates and opening times of aquatic areas:
- 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (8 p.m. in July/August)
- Outdoor pool: open all season, from April to September, subject to weather conditions. Unheated.
- New in 2024, new indoor aquatic area (pool and paddling pool) and outdoor slides: open from May 01 until campsite closes.
NB: Only lycra boxer shorts, bikinis, swimming trunks and 1-piece swimsuits are allowed in the pools. Wristbands are compulsory in July and August. Visitors are not permitted in the aquatic area. Children under parental supervision.
And let's not forget our proximity to Lac de Hourtin, 2.5 km away, for a leisurely, family-friendly swim, and to the ocean, 12 km away, for a more invigorating, invigorating outing. Freshwater or saltwater, the choice is yours. Enjoy the pleasures of swimming and sandcastles, and for lovers of water sports, sailing (sand yachting, kite surfing, windsurfing) and thrills (jet-skiing, water skiing...): list of partners available on request from reception.

Throughout the season (5 days/7 in low season, 6 days/7 during the spring school vacations and 7 days/7 during the summer school vacations), a rich and varied entertainment program, concocted by a dynamic entertainment team, will punctuate your days!
What better way to get off to a gentle start than with a morning session of aquagym? Try your hand at step, zumba or fitness.
Throughout the day, you'll have a choice of sports tournaments such as pétanque, soccer or basketball, family games, sack races, Mölkky and water activities.
At the height of the summer season, the program gets even richer and livens up your evenings. Dare to sing along on karaoke night, and don't miss our concert evenings!
Whether you're a dance enthusiast or a complete beginner, treat yourself to a few steps on the dancefloor!
Volleyball court, bowling green, playground with trampoline, swing and slide, games room with table soccer and billiards (extra charge).
Kids' Club (ages 4 to 10): during spring and summer school vacations (Monday to Friday, times to be consulted on site): arts and crafts, painting, evening entertainment, dance shows, Olympics, team sports, circus and puppet shows. Also indoor/outdoor games, trampolines and inflatables. You and your children can even join in the Pirouette mascot show, at lunchtime and in the evening during the mini disco.
Club Ados (11 to 17 years): 1 or 2 meetings a week during the summer school vacations, offering sports activities, board games, dance classes and more.

A wide range of services are available 5 days a week in low season and 7 days a week during the summer vacations.
A brand-new building, with a superb terrace offering a magnificent view, has just been completed and houses the snack bar and bar.
With takeaways, burgers and pizzas, the snack bar is sure to satisfy your hunger pangs. And when the sun shines, opt for a summer treat with an ice cream or a delicious waffle.
The bar welcomes you for a convivial moment: in the softness of the early morning, for a delicious coffee or at the end of a beautiful day, to enjoy a cocktail with friends.

For your day-to-day shopping, there are plenty of shops close to the campsite in Hourtin, easily accessible by bike.
Other convenient services: Laundromat with washing machine and dryer (extra charge), loan of ironing board/iron and vacuum cleaner (on presentation of ID), wifi available throughout the site (various packages extra charge), bike hire from a local partner (Garage à vélo on 05 56 09 69 60, extra charge).

Pet supplement: €7.50/day/pet (1 pet maximum/accommodation, cats and NAC not accepted).
Small animals weighing less than 15 kg: Authorized

Vaccination booklet required. It is strictly forbidden to leave pets unattended in the accommodation. They must always be kept on a leash at the campsite.
