- General description of the campsite:
Between the Dordogne Valley and the Causses du Quercy regional nature park, close to Rocamadour, a Unesco World Heritage site, and the famous Padirac chasm, the Ventoulou 4* campsite is just a stone's throw from the major tourist sites that are the pride of the Lot, not to mention 6 of France's most beautiful villages less than 20 km away!
A family site par excellence, Ventoulou 4* has been awarded the "Qualité Tourisme" and "Clef Verte" labels for its commitment to eco-responsible tourism.
Set in a wooded environment, this bubble of nature offers peace and quiet and coolness in the hottest hours of summer, a great place to take time for yourself, but also to disconnect or (re)connect with the surrounding authentic nature.
There's no fuss here, just a warm welcome from a dedicated team who place the well-being of their guests at the heart of their priorities.
Careful service is offered throughout most of the season, from a top-quality restaurant serving local cuisine, to a wellness area with massage facilities, and an entertainment program that's sure to set the pace for your vacation.
Le Ventoulou even offers a whole range of dedicated services for our dog friends accompanying holidaymakers: their own Toutouparc playground, an agility course, a day-care service, adapted showers and misters - in short, a "dog paradise"! The campsite even won the 2023 "Best dog-friendly campsite" award.
Between breathtaking scenery, good food, small markets, regional festivities and ultra-comfortable accommodation, with or without a dog, Ventoulou has plenty to offer!

Located in a 100% pedestrian area. You can park your vehicle in a dedicated parking lot close to the neighborhood.
Approx. 37 m² with 22 m² semi-covered wooden terrace and wooden garden furniture.
Benefits: Elegant, upmarket cottage with separate parent/child spaces, not forgetting TV, air conditioning, dishwasher, free wifi access and Tassimo coffee maker, ... simply modern comfort!

- Description of the Aquatic Area:
Attractive 150 m² swimming pool, covered and heated, with a removable roof that can be uncovered when the weather permits.
It's up to you to swim laps or just relax and cool off on the gently sloping 1.2 m wide pool deck.
This covered area is complemented by a simple, unheated paddling pool for younger children.
A new aquatic play area of almost 200 m² awaits the youngest visitors, who will create endless adventures for themselves.
As soon as the sun comes out, take advantage of the solarium with deckchairs and parasols for a farniente break.
Aquatic area opening times and dates:
- Daily 9am to 7pm (9pm in July/August)
- Heated indoor pool open all season from 05/04 to 29/09. The pool is open when the weather is fine.
- Paddling pool: open only in July/August and heated only by the summer sun, weather permitting.
- Unheated outdoor water play area: open July/August, weather permitting.
NB: Long shorts are not permitted. Boxer shorts and short swimming shorts are tolerated if they are only used in the pool. Shower compulsory. For reasons of hygiene, floating objects (balls, fries, mattresses, etc.) are forbidden in the pool, with the exception of armbands and buoys for children.
Opening times are indicative and subject to change. Access to aquatic areas may be subject to restrictions, depending on weather and sanitary conditions, and any maintenance work in progress during your stay.
- Entertainment:
Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you'll appreciate the tranquility of the resort, whatever the season.
While in low season the atmosphere is more peaceful, in July/August the campsite wakes up with a program of sports and leisure activities.
4 afternoons a week, a state-qualified sports instructor from "Lot Of Sports" will propose multi-activity challenges and nature events: try your hand at archery, blowpipe, orienteering, axe throwing, disc golf or escape games, all original activities that will amuse young and old alike!
He/she will also offer a morning aqua gym class, 4 times a week.
On certain afternoons, other group activities are on the program: ping-pong or pétanque tournaments, water polo, as well as educational outings and discoveries of local trades and crafts.
Outside visits and themed outings are also organized with partner service providers (at extra cost): Canoeing and Stand-Up Paddle on the Dordogne, water-based climbing, canyoning, guided hikes, archery and blowpipe initiation, etc.
In the evening, everyone meets up in the entertainment room or in front of the brand-new stage: lotto, quizzes, concerts, live music, games and other surprises. DJ Alex Event is also on hand to host dances and karaoke.
Children's Club (5 to 12 years, with on-site registration) from 08/07 to 30/08: Monday to Friday, 10am to 12pm, indoor or outdoor activities (painting, creative arts, treasure hunts). Our sole aim is to help them enjoy the great outdoors, the natural environment and life in the great outdoors.
Multi-sports field for ball sports and badminton, petanque court and table tennis (bring your own equipment).
For younger guests, there's a first play area with trampoline, climbing frames, turnstiles and swings, not forgetting the huge inflatable pirate ship proudly displayed at the back of the pool. A 2nd play area is especially dedicated to the little ones (up to 6 years), giving them a chance to let off steam!
Indoor games room with table soccer, pinball and car-driving arcade games (extra charge, small change required).
During the summer's major sporting events, a giant TV screen is available in the "Pako Club" to follow the event or the stages of the Tour de France. A small library offers over 1,000 reading references.
A few tasting evenings are also organized with local partners, in the truffle fields, Gallic banquet or visit to a chocolate maker to create a link between vacationers and local artisans proud of their know-how in serving the region's culinary specialties.
The region's proximity to the Parc Naturel des Causses du Quercy offers a multitude of outdoor activities, combining family activities with natural surroundings. Canoeing and kayaking are essential vacation activities. Numerous rental companies close by (extra charge).

- Services available on site:
Throughout the season, a grocer's corner with a few emergency products is located at reception, accessible during reception opening hours: regional products from local partners such as duck terrines and preserves, walnut oil, honey, Cahors wine, locally brewed craft beer, jams and also a bread and pastries depot, every day (on order the day before at reception).
And if you've got bigger shopping to do, don't worry: all services and amenities are close at hand, less than 10 km from the campsite.
In low season, the atmosphere is zen-like, with fewer services, conducive to total relaxation.
The Bar/Restaurant "La Parenthèse Quercynoise" welcomes you every evening in high season, and possibly a few evenings in low season (depending on the number of visitors).
Fancy a snack on the go? Enjoy mixed salads, gourmet burgers with crispy fries or pizzas, on site or to take away!
Meet up on the terrace, the perfect opportunity to share tips and must-sees in the area with other campers, over a regional drink: locally brewed beers or local wine.
Another summer treat is our delicious ice cream sundaes, which will delight gourmets and young gourmands alike!
Treat yourself to a gentle interlude in the "Bulles de Bien-être" spa and relaxation area (extra charge). In July and August, enjoy treatments worthy of the finest institutes, with massages, a beauty area (products, beauty treatments) and a holistic boutique (handcrafted creations and personal development themes).
The campsite was awarded the prize for the "most dog-friendly campsite" in 2023, and our 4-legged friends are given pride of place with a host of services on offer:
- A Toutou Park with agility course, sprayer and automatic waterer: an area 100% dedicated to dogs, with specially adapted equipment.
- A "ToutouBar": a watering hole for refreshing after exercise
- A Canidouche: an adapted shower to cool your pet on hot days, but also to give it a quick clean after exploring the area before returning to the mobile home. Very practical!
- Pet-sitter service by the hour or by the day, so you can enjoy sites that are not accessible to pets. In July and August, this service is offered at extra charge by a team of professionals in a specially adapted area. Activities, pampering: everything is done to ensure your pet's comfort and well-being.
If you can't "go with the wolf to the caves of Rocamadour", you'll enjoy your stay at the campsite with your beloved "pooch".
Other pleasant services include
- 2 communal barbecue areas in secure zones (grills provided, please bring charcoal). Charcoal and gas barbecues are permitted on pitches (charcoal and gas only), with the exception of electric barbecues, grills and planchas.
- 2 Laundries with tumble dryers (extra charge), and ironing boards and irons available on request from reception.
- 2 recharging points for electric cars (7.4 KW - type 2 plug): prices and details available on site.
