- General description of the campsite:
In the heart of the mythical and gourmet Périgord Noir, between the Dordogne and Vézère valleys, this family campsite is ideally located for discovering and exploring this authentic and charming region... it couldn't be more central! The many activities and visits will set the pace for your vacation: picturesque villages, castles, prehistoric caves, local markets, canoeing...
At the crossroads of the most beautiful villages along the Dordogne (La Roque-Gageac, Beynac-et-Cazenac, Domme), and just 15 km from Sarlat-la-Canéda, the famous medieval city, the 4* Lou Castel campsite awaits you in a wooded setting of oak and chestnut trees, guaranteeing you comfortable, semi-shaded accommodation.
Come and take advantage of all the facilities, from the lovely water park to the wellness area with its many treatments and massages. Some of you will discover your inner Indiana Jones or Lara Croft as you climb from tree to tree on the campsite's tree climbing course.

Your mobile home is ideally located in a small pedestrian area. You can park your vehicle in a dedicated parking space close to the neighborhood.
Approx. 30 m² with 18 m² semi-covered wooden terrace, garden furniture and 2 chiliennes.
Plus: A modern, super-equipped apartment with air conditioning, TV, dishwasher, plancha, and even a bed linen kit per person! What else?

- Description of the Aquatic Area:
The Lou Castel 4* campsite's aquatic area is for everyone:
- Afraid of the cold? The heated swimming pool, covered by a sunroof, is perfect for those days when the sun is shy.
- For those who want to make the most of the sun, head for the outdoor pool, which is also heated.
- The little ones can play, slide and splash around in the outdoor paddling pool designed especially for them: colorful characters, mini waterfall, spill bucket, water jets, mini-toboggans... Your little ones won't have time to get bored!
- The more adventurous can have fun sliding down the 3 "aquafreins" slides with their hair blowing in the wind.
Aquatic area opening times and dates:
- 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (8 p.m. in July/August)
- Open all season, weather permitting.
NB: Swimming shorts are forbidden. Bathing suit or boxer shorts compulsory. Supervised swimming only during afternoons in July/August.

- Entertainment:
In low season, the emphasis is on calm and relaxation, but the pace quickens in summer, during the school vacations, thanks to a motivated and ultra-dynamic entertainment team, you won't see time go by.
During the day, there are plenty of activities to keep you busy.
To get the day off to a good start, take part in a muscle-building class. After a good warm-up, the more sporty ones can take part in a soccer, basketball or petanque tournament. Families can join in the fun with games and photo rallies.
In the evening, there's plenty of entertainment on offer, from pool parties around the pools to aperitif games and themed meals. And don't forget to pack your party clothes for the dance parties, karaoke and other concerts, where you can sway to the summer's hits.
Sports enthusiasts can enjoy a game of soccer, basketball or volleyball on the multi-sports pitch, or try their hand at smashing the ball around the ping-pong table. Table tennis and badminton equipment can be borrowed from reception on request.
Petanque aficionados can play doubles or triples on the boulodrome.
Children are not to be outdone, either, and can run, jump, play and have fun in the play area specially designed for them: swings, slides, trampolines and a bouncy castle are sure to please.
For the more acrobatic, there's the campsite's tree climbing course on the edge of the forest, open all season long.
When the sun isn't shining, borrow a board game for some family time, or escape between the lines of a good novel.
The campsite reception will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the region, so you can plan your trips to the Dordogne. For the more adventurous, there's a bike rental service with delivery direct to the campsite, and even discounts on canoe trips. Group outings are organized every week (only in July/August and at extra cost).
During the summer school vacations, your children will have all the attention they need thanks to the clubs dedicated to their age group:
Kids Club (ages 5 to 11): Activities are supervised by a specialized activity leader who offers them adapted activities: sports tournaments, water games, treasure hunts, creative leisure workshops, etc.
Club Ados (ages 12 to 17): The older kids also have a date with the teen club, twice a week. Our entertainers can suggest age-appropriate activities to help them create great vacation memories: games with snacks, pool parties, etc.

A wide choice of body treatments and massages are available thanks to the expert hands of a professional masseuse: Ayurvedic, Thai, Lomi Lomi, Chinese, Indian or Hawaiian massage... (on reservation and at extra charge).
For a convivial moment, come and enjoy our homemade dishes on the restaurant terrace, with a wide choice of pizzas, salads, burgers and delicious desserts.
In a hurry? No problem, as the restaurant offers a takeaway service.
After a day exploring the region, relax with a cocktail in the campsite bar.
Bread and pastries are available from the grocery store, so you can enjoy croissants and hot chocolate rolls! (To be ordered the day before) The grocery store also stocks basic necessities, drinks, sweets and a selection of regional products.
To complete the picture, the campsite also offers a number of other appreciated services: a laundry, open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with washer and dryer, loan of table, iron and vacuum cleaner (on request from reception and subject to availability); a lovely area for communal barbecues (bring charcoal, use subject to prefectural authorization); a free Wi-Fi connection available in communal areas: restaurant, swimming pool and reception.
