Castello di Cafaggio is an elegant residence nestled in the beautiful Tuscan hills near Imprunet, just 14 km from Florence.
It offers 19 beds in 2 suites, for a total of 6 guests, located on the main floor of the castle's central tower building and another 7 bedrooms with 8 bathrooms located in the village farmhouse adjacent to the main building.
The Castle is rented for exclusive use to offer maximum privacy to our guests who will be able to enjoy all the beauties of the property: the beautifully decorated Art Nouveau dining room, the blue living room with piano and fireplace, the billiard room, a large and perfectly equipped kitchen, a beautiful panoramic swimming pool, the castle courtyard, extensive gardens, the historic consecrated private chapel, the lemon house, the wine cellar, the secret wine cellar, the beautiful belvedere terrace and a large and bright hall for events and other activities, with attached facilities.
The property is strategically located a few steps from the picturesque main square of the town, Piazza Buondelmonti, where stands the famous basilica of Santa Maria all'Impruneta with the important shrine of the Madonna dell'Impruneta and a beautiful cloister enriched by precious sculptures and handcrafted terra cotta artifacts from the renowned kilns of Impruneta.
The structure dates back to the 12th century and is surrounded by harmonious vineyards and centuries-old olive groves that are part of the Cafaggio organic farm, where a fine red wine and excellent organic extra virgin olive oil are still produced. In the castle's ancient oil mill, now a museum, olive oil has been produced since the early 1800s. Impruneta has an ancient tradition for olive oil, which has always been the predominant crop, and for the large terracotta jars that were used to store it.
The castle estate encompasses about 120 hectares (300 acres) of private land and boasts magnificent views of the Chianti hills. At the Castle, one is always enveloped by a pleasant breeze and the scents of aromatic plants typical of the area, rosemary, lavender and spring flowers.
The Castle over the years has been gradually restored by the owners who have been faithful and thoughtful in maintaining the original charm and architectural features. At the same time they have taken care to provide guests with all modern comforts, including air conditioning and wi-fi.
The Castle is rented for exclusive use and can accommodate 19 people in 7 units and 8 bathrooms.
Two Suites on the main floor of the Castle, the Puccini Suite and the Tosca Suite, furnished with family antiques.
2 flats, 2 mini-apartments and one double bedroom in the area known as the Borgo, each for 2/4 people, depending on the floor.
SUITE PUCCINI: 60 m2, 2 rooms, for 2 persons.
On the first floor of the castle, facing the Italian garden: a large living room with fireplace, a small kitchen, a double room with super king-size bed and a bathroom with shower.
SUITE TOSCA: 60 m2, 3 rooms, for 4 persons.
On the first floor of the castle with a large terrace overlooking the Chianti hills: a double bedroom, bathroom with shower, a large equipped kitchen with 30 m2 panoramic terrace, a living room and a twin bedroom.
SUITE PUCCINI and SUITE TOSCA are on the same floor, next to each other, with private entrance.
In the farmhouse called 'Borgo' next to the main building:
ULIVO: 70 m2, 3 rooms, for 4 persons, on 2 floors. On the ground floor: a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, a living room and a bathroom with shower. On the upper floor: a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a bathroom with shower.
ROSE: 50 m2, 2 rooms, for 2 persons. On the upper floor: living room, fully equipped kitchenette, a double room and a bathroom with shower.
UVA: 45 m2, 2 rooms, for 2/3 persons.
On the ground floor: a double room, a fully equipped kitchenette, a single room and a bathroom with shower.
LIMONI: 25 m2, 1 room, for 2 persons.
On the upper floor: a large double bedroom, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a bathroom with shower.
MELOGRANO: 18 m2, for 2 persons.
On the ground floor: a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower, equipped with mini-fridge and electric kettle.
ROSE and LEMONS are on the same floor, next to each other, with a separate entrance.
All flats, with the exception of the double bedroom, are equipped with a kitchen or kitchenette, to ensure full independence for all guests during their stay.
Each apartment has WI-FI connection, TV, air conditioning and independent heating.
