The intercommunal sailing school (8 minutes by car) offers outings for this purpose; or go seal-watching in the Baie de l'Orne (15 minutes); or go cycling from Merville-Franceville, where you'll find a cycle path that takes you along the Orne estuary, and even to Ouistreham.

Location
Cabourg is a seaside resort in Normandy, on the Côte Fleurie. The town offers a wide range of activities for families, friends and individuals. Fishing on foot or sand yachting make the 4 km of fine sand, lined by the Marcel Proust promenade and its beautiful houses, an enjoyable experience. The Tourist Office offers a free walking tour of the resort's most beautiful buildings. Like many seaside resorts, Cabourg has a Casino to entertain the grown-ups. Last but not least, Cabourg hosts the annual Romantic Film Festival in June.
