And just 15 minutes by car from the Porte de Bourgogne, a historic, central square where all public transport crosses, you can park your car and quickly be in the St Michel or St Pierre districts (2 minutes' walk) and a stone's throw from Rue Sainte Catherine (Europe's longest pedestrian street), discover our heritage and stroll along the quays.
A little history:
On the right bank of the Garonne, Bouliac, 15 minutes from Bordeaux city center and 10 minutes from the Arena (shows and concerts), is renowned in the New Aquitaine region for its excellent Premières Côtes de Bordeaux appellation wines, and is ideally placed for visiting and tasting the region's finest Châteaux. Bouliac's built heritage includes several remarkable sites, from châteaux to mills and religious buildings. Other sites of great architectural interest in Bouliac include the Château de Terrefort, the Castel de Vialle, now used by several of the town's associations, the sublime Château du Pian, a former wine estate, the Château du Grand Dragon, now in ruins, and Château Lavergne. The town is also home to the remains of the old Pian water mill. Bouliac also boasts an important river heritage.
