Charming and cosy semi-detached house 5 km from the village of Marliana, with private garden, surrounded by lush chestnut trees. We are in the Valdinievole valley where the Pistoia mountains meet, from the valleys of the Vincio and Nievole rivers to the foothills of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. Largely covered by chestnut forests, the hills of Marliana often open into gentle slopes cultivated with vines and olive trees. An ideal holiday destination for families and friends with their pets to explore an enchanting part of this area of Tuscany 22 km north-west of Pistoia. The house, consisting of two units, is in a quiet location, with a private outdoor area equipped for outdoor dining, relaxing views of the surrounding chestnut forest. The property is all fenced off with an entrance gate common to both units, but leading to a reserved parking area for Casa Vittoria 2. The flat is accessed by climbing three comfortable steps. Renovated with care, it offers bright and welcoming rooms, equipped with the necessary comforts for a pleasant stay. The entrance opens into a large living room with an open fireplace, sofa and TV-SMART, equipped kitchenette with electric oven, microwave oven, toaster, electric kettle, induction hob, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, espresso machine, from the living room you have access to a private terrace, down three steps you have access to the private area where guests can dine "al fresco" under a parasol. It is fascinating to discover the village of Marliana and its ancient rural traditions (a visit to the Museum of Rural Culture is recommended) arriving by the winding road that climbs up the wooded slopes from Serravalle Pistoiese. Once past the medieval village, it is possible to reach the locality of Goraiolo, which - built in recent years on the crossroads for the villages of the upper Pescia area on one side and the Apennine peaks on the other - owes its recent tourist development to its favourable position. Music lovers will find the ancient organs in numerous churches in the Marliana area of particular interest. In most cases, these are instruments built by the two Pistoia organ-building families Agati and Tronci, known throughout the world for their characteristic production. Other small villages to be discovered in the Pistoia area are those of Panicagliora and Serra Pistoiese, which can be reached by a panoramic road that offers a view of the castle surrounded by the peaks of the Apennine ridge. Nearby, a short hike leads to the ruins of an important medieval settlement, the Pieve di Furfalo. Not too far away, it is also worth visiting the ancient fortified village of Casore del Monte, set in a landscape with alpine characteristics, amidst wide meadows and typical mountain vegetation. Descending along the Vincio valley, one also encounters Momigno and Montagnana. One of the greatest riches of these lands are the products of the forest: chestnuts and mushrooms, which popular ingenuity has exalted in the production of refined delicacies that can be tasted at the numerous gastronomic festivals and restaurants in the area. An ideal place for lovers of nature, outdoor sports, local traditions, art and culture: Pistoia (22km), Florence(75km), Lucca(42km), Pisa(64km). For a relaxing day at the beach, the long beaches of Viareggio are a 1-hour drive away. The nearest airports are Florence, 50 minutes by car, or Pisa, 1 hour by car. A damage deposit of 1000EUR has to be paid locally for groups under 21.
