Mallorca's highest village, Valldemossa, is one of the most visited places on the island. Valldemossa offers, among other things, the Costa Nord - a contemporary cultural center founded by Hollywood actor Michael Douglas, whose house S’Estaca is on the coastal road from Valldemossa to Sóller, near Deià. Also worth a visit is the Real Cartuja (Royal Carthusian Monastery), with its church, monastery and the old pharmacy. The Puig des Teix, one of the most visited peaks in the Tramuntana, is an interesting destination for hikers. The demanding route takes around 4.5 hours and promises breathtaking views. Valldemossa's weekly market takes place every Sunday. A colorful affair and the ideal place to buy high quality local products such as fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese, Serrano ham and much more. On the Son Moragues estate you can buy organic jams and the only 100% Mallorcan olive oil in the world. Valldemossa is only about 1.5 kilometers airline. Here you have some options for quiet, secluded beaches such as 'Cala Sa Marina' or Port of Valldemossa. For culinary experiences you simply drive directly to Valldemossa.
