Our villa 'Lamoix' is located close to Bunyola and rewards us with a wonderful view over the wide landscape, overlooked by 100 year old almond trees. In spring, a fairytale sea of white pink ​​flowers shimmers here. The arguments in favor of the Mallorca almond trees are their role as a tourist attraction and a much more intense taste of the fruit. In addition, locally made products such as almond liqueur and almond cookies are real bestsellers. The small town of Bunyola is located in the southern part of the Sierra de Tramuntana, only 14 km north of Palma and less than 2 km from the highway, and is therefore well connected to the island's infrastructure. The place basically consists of two streets, one leads through the village further into the mountains to Orient and Alaró, the other connects Bunyola with Santa Maria. On Wednesdays and Saturdays in the mornings, we recommend the weekly market that takes place on the square. The 'coca de patates' and the 'coca with sobrassada and apricots' are particularly popular in Bunyola. Typical sights are for example the gardens of Alfàbia and Raixa. The nearest beach (Playa de Can Pere) is only a few kilometers (16km) away.
