With direct access to the Dordogne river, at the crossroads of the most historic and natural sites, Rocamadour, Sarlat, the numerous medieval castles and other remarkable natural caves, discover without further ado the Village du Port 4*, an atypical eco-camping site full of charm that will delight young and old alike.
A small family campsite, 100% natural and ecological, operating on a local scale, where the frenzy of urban life gives way to the gentle pace of life.
Here, everything is designed to ensure the absolute well-being of holidaymakers for an ultra-disconnected stay: a pedestrian-friendly, secure campsite conducive to peace and quiet, top-of-the-range lodge tent accommodation in the shade of walnut trees in a soothing, rejuvenating setting, a wellness area, a local grocery store featuring local gourmet specialities with a selection of short-run products 100% sourced from the Dordogne Valley.
The absence of entertainment is in keeping with the spirit of the place, just the desire to privilege real moments of sharing with family or friends in all simplicity, at every moment of the day.
In the evening, you can play cards or chat around the brazier in a chic and cosy guinguette atmosphere, or enjoy a glass of wine at the "Chez Sophie" wine bar, in a typical Lotois setting.

Located in a 100% pedestrian zone and equipped with a kitchen and bathroom, the lodge tent offers you a change of scenery in comfort!
Approx. 25 m², with a 15 m² semi-covered wooden terrace, a sofa and 2 chiliennes.
Benefits: A home made from top-of-the-range materials combined with a beautiful living space on the terrace... the pleasure of returning to camping with charm and total comfort!

- Description of the Aquatic Area:
Two beautiful, secure open-air pools, reserved for campsite guests and exposed to the mild Dordogne sunshine throughout the day:
- One is rectangular (13.5 m long), ideal for morning laps, and will delight even the sportiest of swimmers!
- The other is a fun pool with an island and bridge, where children can splash around and play hide-and-seek.
Each pool is equipped with a separate paddling pool, with 40 cm of water for the safety of the youngest: fun and games guaranteed!
Deckchairs are available on the beaches of both pools for reading or keeping an eye on the little ones as they splash around.
Aquatic area opening times and dates:
- Daily from 10 a.m. to 7.30 p.m.
- Swimming pool and paddling pool open all season, unheated
- Aqualudic pool and paddling pool open only in July and August, unheated
NB: Swimming shorts and long Bermuda shorts are not permitted. For everyone's comfort, balls, French fries and other games are forbidden in the aquatic area. Access to the pool is secure, and the pools are unsupervised. Dogs are strictly forbidden. Minors must be accompanied by their parents.
And let's not forget the Dordogne, with its 300 m of river running alongside the campsite grounds: there's nothing like a natural swim at any time of day, with its large pebble beach to relax on, crystal-clear water to cool off in and a unique panorama, all in a setting classified as a "Grands Sites Midi Pyrénées".

- Entertainment:
Peace and quiet are the watchwords here! Listen to the birds, stroll along the banks of the Dordogne... Every moment is yours to enjoy. The atmosphere is zen, conducive to total relaxation. It's the perfect place to read or play board games as a family.
The variety of outdoor activities on and around the campsite, and the diversity and cultural richness of the surrounding area, will satisfy everyone's desires.
For those who love simple pleasures: strolling through the lush greenery, observing the surrounding flora and fauna, swimming in the Dordogne, or relaxing in one of the suspended hammocks.
Disconnection is also guaranteed for young city dwellers. Children can discover the mini farm with ponies, henhouse... Put eco-responsible actions into practice in a completely playful way. Every day, they can quietly observe the richness of the flora and fauna. Enough to fill an XXL-sized memory box!

The campsite has a fishing label and is classified as a 2nd category river. Exercise your talents by switching from fly fishing to lure fishing!
Every Tuesday afternoon, Romain, an instructor from the French Fishing Federation, will take charge of a small group of children to teach them different fishing techniques and raise their awareness of the need to protect natural aquatic environments.
The Saint-Sozy nautical base offers a wide range of water sports activities for the whole family, including sailing, kayaking, canoeing and river diving (extra charge).
Some activities may not be available from time to time, depending on the weather and official sanitary conditions during your stay.

Chez Sophie" bar: you'll fall under the spell of the old world in this tastefully restored farmhouse, decorated with wood, iron and reeds in a "brocante" spirit. Open all season: daytime in low season, daytime and evening in July/August.
On the terrace for a morning coffee, inside to cool off behind the thick stone walls on hot days, or around the braziers in the evening to enjoy a glass of local wine under a starry sky. An eco-friendly guinguette atmosphere, perfect for chilling out in complete tranquillity!
Every evening in July/August, and twice a week in low season, a food-truck completes the restaurant offer; not forgetting a 24-hour vending machine serving pizzas cooked on demand to satisfy your hunger at any time of the day or night! practical, isn't it?
All season long, you can order delicious gourmet baskets, made from 100% Dordogne Valley produce, with a choice of picnic basket, vegetarian, aperitif or breakfast. Book directly with the campsite reception 36 hours before your arrival and deliver to your pitch (with supplement).
In need of a gentle interlude to pamper yourself? The Well-Being area, housed in the old farmhouse, offers a range of treatments for a special moment (extra charge): Sauna, Balneotherapy and Massages (by appointment with an external therapist).
The campsite's grocery store is packed with quality local products: organic wines, savoury spreads, sweet treats, duck products and, above all, excellent quality "homemade" walnut oil, produced and sold on site.
For your convenience, there's also a launderette (extra charge), free wifi at reception, a relaxation area with books and board games, ironing facilities, vacuum cleaner and safety deposit box at reception if required.
The Village du Port campsite is part of a truly eco-responsible approach: waste management (household waste for the chickens or in the compost bin), selective sorting, reduction of polluting agents, better water management (artesian wells for watering the vegetable garden and plantations with untreated water) and biodiversity (orchard of ancient species replanted to encourage pollination by bees, insect hotel, hedgehog and squirrel shelters). An opportunity to learn about these everyday practices.
