Detached former farmhouse on the Route des Vignes, overlooking the historic ruined château of Puyguilhem, site of the first cannon shot in the 100 Years' War.
Main room with fitted kitchen, followed by a sitting area with TV/DVD, Wi-Fi, sofa and four armchairs. There are 3 bedrooms with ceiling fans. One suite with a 160 cm bed and en-suite bathroom. A bedroom with 1 x 160 cm bed and a bedroom with 1 x 140 cm bed. Bathroom with walk-in shower, bath, washing machine and toilet.
A private 8.5x4, 1.5-deep swimming pool with chlorine, open from June to the end of September, unheated and secured by an electric curtain. The property includes more than 2 parking spaces on an open plot of 1500m2. Two mature trees provide a large shaded area in front of the terrace, with built-in barbecue and view of the vineyards.
Baby equipment, travel cot and high chair available on request at time of booking. The Dordogne offers a remarkable wealth of cultural and natural attractions. Adventure seekers can enjoy canoeing at Gardonne, while the village of Prunes at Thénac offers a therapeutic retreat. The vineyards of Monbazillac and Bordeaux and the historic town of Bergerac (20km) will delight wine and history lovers.
The bastide towns of Eymet (10km), the medieval village of Issigeac and the majestic Château de Bridoire add a touch of character to this unique Périgord Pourpre experience, as do Bastide d'Eymet and Monpazier (20km). Only 90 minutes from Sarlat and Lascaux, Bordeaux 1 hour away, Vigiers golf course 15 mins, bowling 15 min, Aquapark 10 min, canoeing 10 minutes, go-karting 10 min.
The gîte is 7-8 minutes from a small supermarket, pharmacy, cash dispenser, petrol station, baker, bars and restaurants. Saturday morning market.
