Location
The Bastide district is an old industrial area that is experiencing an economic revival thanks to various developments. Facing the Garonne River and Place de la Bourse, you'll discover the former Orléans train station, now home to a large cinema. Nearby, the Université Européenne de Gestion and, just a few steps away, the Parc des Berges and Jardin Botanique offer a large green space. This new strolling area allows visitors to admire the Tourny facade built along the left bank quays. La Bastide is also characterized by its architectural charm, notably the bell tower of the Sainte-Marie de la Bastide church and the Maison Cantonale, an architectural work of the 1930s. The city center can be easily reached by streetcar or via the Jacques Chaban-Delmas bridge.
