Housing
Completely renovated in autumn 2023, this 3-storey house is ideal for family life (children can sleep in the quiet and vice versa for parents). The house boasts old-world charm (1850s, exposed woodwork, fireplace, old floor tiles...) and all the necessary comforts.
It comprises :
- four bedrooms with a double bed, a pull-out bed (80x100x2) and two cots for babies (on the 1st floor, a large master bedroom, a small baby room. On the 2nd floor, a guest/teleworking room and a large children's bedroom);
- a fully-equipped kitchen;
- a functional bathroom and shower room;
- two dining areas, one indoors in the large living room on the first floor, the other outside in the sunshine (we like to have our meals there when the weather permits);
- a comfortable living room with sofa bed;
- a balcony to enjoy the view and get some fresh air;
- and a charming little garden planted with trees.
You'll particularly appreciate its calm and comfort.
Everything you need for an excellent stay is at your disposal, including: Wifi, Hair dryer, Washing machine, Coffee machine, Oven, Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Microwave, etc. Please note that bed linen and towels are included in the cleaning fee.
The apartment is ideally located:
- Isolated from street noise.
- A 10-minute walk from metro lines 13 (Malakoff Plateau de Vanves) and 4 (Mairie de Montrouge) to Paris.
If you want to explore the surrounding area on foot, you'll find the Malakoff market (3 times a week, Wednesday/Friday/Sunday mornings), the local library and children's parks, as well as shopping facilities.
We recommend the "Pari-Brest" restaurant across the street (no-frills brasserie cuisine), Pho further west on the boulevard (very friendly welcome), La Tréso (alternative venue with a home-made seasonal menu).
During your stay, you'll have the opportunity to discover the must-see sites for which the city is famous, such as :
- Jardin du Luxembourg and Tour Montparnasse, 21 minutes away by metro;
- Hôtel des Invalides, 30 minutes away;
- the Pantheon, 31 minutes away by public transport;

Location
Malakoff is a commune in the Hauts-de-Seine department of the Île-de-France region, south of Paris and bordering the XIV arrondissement. Close to Châtillon, Montrouge, Vanves and Clamart, this town of over 30,000 inhabitants has been a member of the Greater Paris metropolis since January 1, 2016. Crossed by the Coulée verte du sud parisien, which in part follows the route of the via Turonensis, the ancient pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, the large town of Malakoff takes its current name from a decision taken in 1868, when the commune was created following its separation from Vanves. The name comes from a defensive tower near Sebastopol, the capture of which led to French victory in the Crimean War.
Today, Malakoff is highly urbanized and economically well-developed, with excellent public transport links and a very dynamic lifestyle. The many cultural and sporting events held here, as well as its extensive architectural heritage, make this Ile-de-France commune a popular destination for tourists. Its proximity to Paris also makes it easy to discover all the capital's charms.
