Both Cividale and Aquileia are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In just 20 minutes by car you can reach Palmanova, whose name means 'palm trees' in the Friulian dialect. Its imposing fortress has the shape of a nine-pointed star and for this reason the place is called 'the star city? Since 2017, the star fortress of Palmanova is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From this accommodation you can also go to Trieste and Venice, which can be reached both by car and by train. The king of Friulian rivers, the Tagliamento, is only 12 km away and is suitable for swimming.
