This house overlooks the lake of St. Pé-sur-Nivelle, in the heart of the Basque Country, just 20 km from Biarritz. Perched on a hill, you have views of the Pyrenees from the pool. The lake has a beautiful beach and many services, restaurants and cafés. Cambo and Sare are bases for mountain hikes and climbs. Espelette is famous for its peppers. Old harbor in St. Jean-de-Luz. the cleanliness leaves something to be desired +++ (drawers - padded beds - dust in the house - dirty pool ++++); it is stipulated that the owner "occasionally occupies an apartment under the house" in fact he lives there permanently. So little tranquillity especially since there are no blackout curtains on the windows which is annoying at night... Very expensive cleaning especially since we had the visit of 2 friends for 2 days and we had to pay the cleaning for 4 for the 15 days or 140 euros and in addition for a doubtful cleanliness!!!!!!-The cushions in the house and outside are very dirty, stained and those on the outside are torn and very damaged - All this to say that it is not a luxury residence... Certainly the house, the decoration and the garden are magnificent but the services do not follow... On the other hand for this standing the kitchen equipment is very fair!
