This beautiful 2 bedroom house was renovated by its owners in 2015. It has room for 4 people and a beautiful garden. Many original details have been preserved in the house and there is a new fitted kitchen. In addition to the fenced garden, there is a small private terrace on the other side of the house. The beach is within walking distance (700m) and the small towns of St Hilaire de Riez and St Gilles offer a wide choice of beaches, cycle paths, walks and markets. The pretty port of St. Gilles also has a good selection of restaurants and cafes. Do not hesitate to go to the island of Noirmoutier (35 km) and visit the famous seaside resort of Sables d'Olonne (33 km) with its large promenade. With 3 golf courses within 35 km, tennis and a variety of water sports, this is an ideal vacation home for a sports vacation.

We spent a week, two adults and two children (8 months and 3 years). First, we discovered that it was not a single-family house but half of the large house where the owners live. Quite charming, it was nevertheless a major surprise. The configuration is rather strange: we can see that it is a half of a house. We did not see a modern house but a typical and old one, which keeps the freshness (duvet required) with large wooden furniture inside and two old and rusty deckchairs outside. The same is true for decoration. The photos (on the decoration in particular) are in conformity with reality but seem to enlarge the rooms. The sockets and connections are visible, totally unsuitable for young children, as is the presence of a glass coffee table in the living room. The kitchen is very simply "equipped" (an oven, a refrigerator-freezer, a microwave and hobs), with ikea furniture for dishes. There is no dishwasher or worktop. It is also a little small (two people cannot travel together). The private terrace is narrow, just enough to put a garden table and four chairs, the floor is not maintained (they are sandstone slabs from which many tufts of grass protrude). To hang laundry, there are simply three wires through the terrace, with less than ten clothespins not useful for making machines. The pool is well placed but unfortunately not heated, preventing young children from entering or staying there (temperature of 20 degrees while it was 30 degrees all week). Another small thing: for a rental of four people, we had two small towels. There is no wifi. In conclusion, the accommodation is very well located because it makes it possible to reach the lively district in a few minutes, but not very suitable for young children and rainy days.
