The Chapelèche house is located on a southern slope of the Ardèche, at an altitude of 700 metres, in the heart of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Natural Park.
This house in Chapelèche includes 2 cottages: the West cottage "Les Châtaigniers" and this one, the East cottage "Les Genêts". These 2 cottages are totally independent (independent
access and terrace, no opposite, no noise).
Magnificent view of the Glueyre valley, where you can swim, in natural "pools" carved in granite, or on a supervised swimming spot, near Saint Sauveur de Montagut.
You can also swim 10 km from here, in a municipal swimming pool on the shores of Lake Le Cheylard ("L'Eyrium").
Beautiful hikes from the cottage itself.
Many possibilities of excursions: Mount Gerbier de Joncs (20 kms), Ray Pic waterfall (20 kms), the Ardèche gorges (60 kms),...
Other activities for young people: Aquarock Adventure in Saint Sauveur de Montagut (ropes above the Eyrieux valley), canoeing on the Eyrieux
river, horse riding, mountain biking, etc...
Chapelèche is reached by a municipal tarred road to a lane, with no way out: calm and tranquility are guaranteed, away from all road traffic.
The
Ardèche gorges are an hour and a half from Chapelèche, Mont Gerbier de Joncs (and a small ski resort) is a half-hour away, Mont Mézenc is 3/4 of an hour away and the Rhône
Valley motorway is an hour away.
The "Les Genêts" cottage in Chapelèche can accommodate up to 7 people. It has
a bathroom with sink, bath and WC and 3 bedrooms:
- 1st level bedroom, 4 people: a double bed (140 x 200) on the ground floor and a double bed (140 x 200) on the mezzanine (accessible for children over 6 years old). This room has a toilet and a toilet
cabinet.
